I have the JR Atomic 4 and use it for city rides and short distances. My suggestion is to check the sizing on it. I wear a 40 sized shirt and my other jackets are a perfect fit for the same size but this one is not. Its slightly on the loser side.

PRS stocks JR. Check with them.

Already sent mail to PRS and waiting for their reply.
Their site does not have JR atomic 4.0.
I was about to order Alpine T-RC 1 from DSG but when i decided for them in the evening i was told that they will not be dispatched today and so i will not be receiving them before Saturday morning.
I was hoping to take them on my this weekends ride to Mysore.
Thus decided to post the query in form and wait for valuable suggestions from people before buying anything.

As you are from bangalore is it possible that i can see your jacket?
I stay in HSR layout and my office is in Ecospace bellandur.

Quite bugged with Planet DSG's after sales!

Close to 2 months since the purchase (A* trc-1) now and they couldn't arrange a size change for me.

Five times, they tell me, the courier has been sent but I wonder if it's coming on foot.

What size you chose to change?
How is T-RC 1?
I am planning to buy one.
Would it be possible for you to provide a comparison with Joe Rocket Atomic 4.0?

The jacket is very good, so far as the fit, comfort and quality goes. I wear Medium size formal shirts and DSG suggested to chose as per this. Elbows were very lose and the armor was out of the place all of the time. This made me opt for the size change and, therefore, sent it back. Since then, I am waiting.

Haven't been able to ride with it so far so can't comment. Mesh is still a question, whether it works or not still unknown. A step above from DSG and Cramster jackets. And with that price tag, it's a steal in my opinion.

Some get their orders before time and some don't have a clue about their purchase, even after months. I was not in mood to take the risk. Decided to go for the A* only, as it's one of the leading brands in the business and the price this time was simply irresistible!

Anyway, didn't know the same kind of headaches would be experienced with DSG! :Frustrati

I am 5'9" tall and weigh 73Kgs.
My chest would be around 42 and waist close to 31.
I genrally wear 39-40 sized shirts.
I go to gym and the 39 fits perfectly ( at times like post workout a little tight)
What size do you suggest as per your experience.
Also i have read at some places that Atomic has the problem of bulging at the gut. Does TRC also has a similar problem?

I have the same dimensions as well. Only that I weigh a few kilograms less and I am too lazy to hit the gym.

See, I had no issues with the fitting. Only problem were elbows/armor position and the bulge around it. It looked and felt disproportionate. This is the medium size I am talking about here. Shoulders, waist and overall fit was inch-perfect for me otherwise. There wasn't any bulge around the gut IIRC. I was too busy fixing the elbow armor everytime yaar.
Even, if it's there I am sure it won't bug you much.

You need to check it carefully though! A small could be too tight and medium, who knows, will give you the same troubles I faced. Better is to check these things in personal. Is there any DSG outlet/dealer in your place? That would surely help.

Bear in my mind a few things. If you order it from US all by yourself. You might loose some more thousands on excise and customs.

Sizing will always remain a issue. But you can do one thing, order a Medium, if you see any problem with that then exchange it. As you have a dealer near, DSG will be able to send jackets directly. This is what I am doing. Though, it's been two months and I haven't yet received my jacket. But seems like a management problem more than anything serious. .

You would be able to make out whether to go for a small size or large after checking medium. As per your build, I would suggest the medium for now.

And you ain't reading my posts seriously, eh? I have mentioned this earlier. I haven't ridden the bike once wearing the jacket, so, can't comment! Can tell you though, that it will be quite hot if you plan to go for the stealth look.

You had asked about an economical option of shipping and I said there is no known easy way of doing it. Atleast I don't know. And if someone is bringing on behalf of you, like others have posted, will depend on the mood of the customs guys. Officially, goods worth upto 25K are free of duties. In my case, I have brought along helmet worth 14K, jacket worth 6K, back protector worth 1.5K in one check in baggage. Entered through the green channel and no one stopped me. Ofcourse I had the bills ready and was prepared to face the customs.
