  • Friend, couple of weeks ago I have upgraded the helmet from Vega Boolean series to LS2.

believe me Vega boolean( purachsed in 2009 Dec-Rs2000) is one of the most awkwardly heavy helmet which gives you severe neck pain if you are riding more than 25KM per trip.

I was looking for some good helmet and found LS2 which is not a very light weight but well designed and you ll love it. It costed me Rs 3100 in Bangalore which is worth of every penny.Click image for larger version

So it's not a big issue. Frequent washing, and wear and tear causes the material to lose its sheen. But in my jerkin, there is an area where the Scotchlite is, it's pretty dull, but it performs flawlessly at nights, no problem whatsoever. If you have a problem with the reflection itself, then you have a problem.

But from what I see from the photo, your reflective material is completely washed away on a particular patch both front and back. Sorry to say, but you have to live with it, it's RJays for us.
The back is perfectly fine bro, both these pics are of the front

      Nope not scrubbed, nothing..
I gave it a wash when I realized it was greyish, but it didnt help.. I handwashed it with a mild soap. I asked Zulfi from Bachoo Motors too, even he said nothing can be done. Are these things supposed to wear off so fast?!

        • Thanks mithun. I plan to do exactly like you suggested. Thanks a ton. I guess The swift is the top contender at the moment.

Any views on the RJays swift B7ACKTHORN.
Any RJays swift users here. I could really use your feedback like right now

The list in order of preference is now
          1. RJays swift
          2. DSG maze
          3. Cramster Breezer - (xxl available, yay)
Just flick the switch and twist my wrist
The beast comes alive, bringing me back to life
A tap to shift and flick of the wrist
The beast takes flight bringing me back to life
Kill the silence, tear apart the dark
The beast rips the road, hell yeah, i feel alive.

Yes it can. But you must make sure the helmet is of a compatible type holding a Bluetooth headset.

@mithungo - Octane is way out of my budget. 6.5K is the limit for me. What sort of bad stuff have you heard about cramster.

            @ shahbaz63 - Thanks, i had competely overlooked RJays.
Try Maze if you can't opt for Cramster Breezer,as I said both Cramster and DSG Maze are good VFM stuffs. As a final resort go for RJays Swift.

I use the Octane. Long rides\short rides\rain\heat\snow - and it has been a good jacket all through. Most of the Octane users here are satisfied with the quality of the stuff - it is better than DSG\Cramster. I guess it would be the same for Swift as well.
But that said, some gripes are there. They tend to be a bit over enthusiastic about the capabilities like 'Water Proof'.
P.S: I would suggest wearing these jackets before settling on one - instead of online buy. Since you are investing 6.5k, better be sure before you jump
            Mithun
Mithun, let me clear some air here. Pretty much any brand out there do have some defects, be it any brand even the one you wear. I've seen, worn, and know many of my friends who use Cramster Breezer 4.0 and used Cramster products. I don't see the product itself being way out of proportion of not value for money. Indeed, I know many of my friends who use an even have costlier stuffs and the product just didn't perform upto the mark.

It's all about affordability and stuff. I myself used more RJays products than you can ever imagine and all their sub $200 category just are way over-priced and not upto the mark. If may feel good for the short term, but long run you'll know what I really intend to say.

Now I am not a brand praiser/disser, I base my views on a practical basis and from the experiences I've had, not just by word of mouth or Google.

P.S. When a person isn't satisfied with a product, there might be lots of reasons behind it, please don't base your views "as a whole" to the entire product segment. It's kinda misleading people! Say what you feel, what you feel is valid, don't sugarcoat.

            Peace out!

Pretty much nothing can't be done whena 3M piping fades off. Indeed, any scothlite piping that goes inside water frequently do lose their sheen over time. So far you jacket seems good, the material can hold for quite a time without any problem.

You can go ahead and buy the Cramster 4.0 with no second thoughts, or you can go for the DSG Maze. If you have any sizing discrepancy, then resort to RJays, but as a last resort.

But ultimately the decisions is yours. You can always choose whichever jacket you like based on teh looks, budget etc. But my views are purely on a practical basis, from what I've worn and experienced

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

The best bet is to use a bluetooth headset with an asymetric cord and in-ear headphone. The Sony MW600 (which I own) and Jabra Clipper are two good candidates.
Few months back I bought my second MW600 Its got a very good battery life (continuous Bluetooth music playing of 10+hrs), good noice cancellation, and the Sony quality headphone. The button on it is also comfortable to operate with gloves on (though adjusting volumn is tough) ... The Clipper also has a body with large buttons which should be a breeze to use with gloves on.

Umm..that is a flame bait there - but no thanks.

"I base my views on a practical basis and from the experiences I've had, not just by word of mouth or Google."

VJ, The whole point of this forum is to collate ideas about how different brands works for us. No one can honestly have experince on everything and give an opinion. In here, Cramster as a brand has got more bad reviews than good ones - you just have to read the thread.

So when some one asks a question - you either can give your 'Non sugar coated' experience - OR you can give a combined idea from all the info gleaned from here.

Cramster may have some good products,no questions on that. But my opinion - you have a much better chance of going wrong with them than the other established brands.

While I am pretty sure you may have a good experince with Cramster, some did not - at least in this thread.

Crisp!! pictures there, Shabby. Kudos on the jacket! As always don't forget the pre and post ride jacket review. Eagerly awaiting

Is the jacket a used one or a new one?

Since you can shell out 8k+ on a jacket, why don't you try the RJays Sprint boot, so far so good reviews on that one.

                      Cheers!

You always have lots of "external" boots like Woodland etc etc, should should offer good protection, than the more expensive ones out there. But that's just my take. Try boot hunting, you have loots of them. If you have a beeg pocket, then you can get youself a SIDI Streetburner or the A* SMX 2 boot. The reason I mentioned RJays Sprint it's four times lower than these boots and more or less offer same protection.

No thanks, bud. I already own "lots" of jackets, and any more my mom is gonna kick me out of the house, mainly because my cupboard is full of junk coupled with riding gear junk! So at least for years and years to come, I am done for good.

I have a question - according to you, which one among these is most suitable for daily office commuting in peak traffic round the year? I am primarily looking for a lightweight, easy to live with jacket. Protection is secondary - in any case wearing a jacket itself is better than wearing nothing.

I had a pair of Cramster gloves - they disintegrated within 10k kms/1 year of daily use. So, not very much inclined towards Cramster again.
