Chill man ............. let the winters come first ............. you will have options then to suit yourselfOriginally posted by g K View PostThere are multiple reasons why I am not investing in a full fledged riding jacket as of now. I know it is advisable and recommended to get a riding jacket with back/shoulder/elbow protectors because it solves all purpose and offers better protection but I am still to find out how much I ride the bike to justify the worth of purchase of riding jacket. Thus going for elbow protectors and knee guards for now, something is better that nothing. Personal opinion.
Coming to gloves, thanks for this option of getting warm liners for regular gloves, which gives way to another question-
In this case should I go for a glove size bigger so as to accommodate liner comfortably? or do the liners fit in easily in an already snug fit glove?
Sorry for the naive questions, as I said earlier I am new to this.
Thanks!
and Prat bhai has already replied to your reasoning of not buying a proper riding jacket, so choose wisely
Warm Regards,
Pranav

Good choice, Sandeep. RYNOX have some of the sturdiest stuffs all around, and personally can vouch for the quality of their products, excellent stuff. BTW what's discerning here is the way the A* star performed even for 8 months it seems like it's been raped all around. But I'd like to clear the melancholy here for all the folks, just because it's A* and a mesh and hybrid leather doesn't mean it would offer the protection as a glove, after all it's a textile blend and it will be prone to rip as above as any textile glove.Originally posted by Sandeep Patnala View PostLimited edition Monster series Alpinestars SMX-2 after 8 months of daily usage........( took them once or twice in rains thats it ) Price :Rs4990/- ( as far as i remember , excluding shipping)

Synthetic leather, ersatz, cheap, reliable and handles pressure induced break points better than leather.Originally posted by xpranav View PostCongrats buddy ............ is that a synthetic leather ??

Highly intimidating looks for riding gloves! You will need neither knuckle-dusters in a fight nor puncture repair material for the tyresOriginally posted by valkyrieX7 View PostHey buddy!

Guys please, kind request to all my fellow buds, please don't quote the entire picture set plus the answer process, darn photos take helluva lot of time to load when you have a redneck posting from phone, and it helps in readability as whole.
Thanks.
Cheers!

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Hi guys and gals!
Today I used my new Ironclad SuperDuty 2 gloves for the first time and writing a small review for the same as I promised to you guys!
At first when I wore them, seriously it sent a grin on my face.. "Damn boy! This looks sick!"
Then I went out on my bike. Firstly I thought it was a bit hard to fold my palms, due to the extra strong synthetic leather and the TPR layer.
I went on. After sometime it adjusted, or say I adjusted

And then the gloves felt good.
I drove 40kms today and I have familiarized with them..
About the strong points of the gloves:
Very good quality material.
Very nicely stitched.
A strong 'grippy' synthetic leather under the palms.
Patented TPR layer over the gloves for impact absorption.
Nice velcro strap with "Super Duty" written over it

"Ironclad" written over the gloves provides both protection and looks :P
Its certified for automotive, construction, mechanics, hiking, trekking... for all day use... it also comes with a soft cloth layer on the outer side of the thumb for wiping sweat/ helmet!!!
Can be machine washed and hang dried.
Cons:
In the begining you may not feel comfortable due to the extra strong construction of the gloves.
Still to find cons.
Will report of any problems after a longer use.. maybe after the ride to Mcleodganj Himachal... it will test the gloves nicely!
