  • Thanks VJ. The only reason I haven't ordered online is to confirm the size - this is the first time I'm taking such a jacket. Will try out Breezer before finalizing!

    • Hey guys, where can i buy scoyco MC10 gloves in bangalore or any reliable online store? If not available, please suggest other good ones under rs.600 for city riding.

Try Tirumala Enterprises at Double road - Lalbag road junction. They had quite a few scoyco gloves when I visited there last, not sure if they had MC10 though.

          Thanks. I'll try that.
BTW, why are these so cheap, are they fake or are they of crappy quality?

these may be cheap but they are not at all bad. These saved my palm once in an accident. I wear daily to office & wore them during tours too.

Cheap doesn't equal crap mate. Buy the best you can afford, and do check the things in person before you buy.

I have a scoyco glove too, and it has been bashed, battered, smashed, whatever you can call it and still going pretty fine. It's just plain soft glove. But then it's done and still is doing it's job well.

My buddy has a probiker glove, I guess it's okay quality and nothing to worry about, competitively priced, they do their job and that is to protect. Don't expect some heavy crashing in these gloves, for that you need to invest in better leather gloves.

                Cheers!

                • Help in getting a leather suit

                  Hi Guys,

I am planning to hit the Sriperumbudur track in the near future, planning to get a leather suit for it (one piece or two piece, whatever that will help me get inside the track first). I don't have a big budget, suggest me something as cheap as possible. This is just to feed the passion in me, dont want to burn a big hole in my bank balance and invite severe backlash from people back home.

Searched the thread whole day and looked into Performance Racing Store, sportbiketrackgear.com, www.goforkrp.com, www.planetdsg.com, www.bikebandit.com. Did go through these sites looks like the least would cost me around 30k bucks. I am looking for something around 15k bucks Is it possible in the first place? If not the track dream has to wait

Will going two piece reduce the cost?

I have a brother working in UK. Does buying from there reduce the cost by any chance?

P.S: Is a full suit compulsorily required to enter the track?

Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight.

It was not that far on the map.

There are some jackets, which cost upwards of 25 and even 40k for which you can get a decent full piece leather suit. It really depends on what you need

To your second question, in a track situation it's highly recommended that you use a leather jacket or a leather pant or a one piece suit. The reason being people switch to one piece suit is it provides consistent feel and it hugs the body in its entirety rather than two separate pieces, say, jack and a pant.

Yes, getting it sourced from overseas if someone is getting for you is a real cheap deal, comparatively, you don't save much, but yes you do save some.

Try sourcing it locally, you have AXO Talon and RJays Stealth both come in and round 33000 rupees much low compared to high-end brands and in the end you need protection and these offer you that protection

                      Cheers!

Ya currently 33k is out of my budget, but still I will invest once heavy rather than twice murky, if that's the best bet the least money can get me.

That's the cheapest I have encountered, but it says it is a mesh predominant one. Then is it slightly highly priced? From the pics I feel they do allow it to the tracks and does it have some certifications? In short, if someone uses it can they give a review of it?

Yes, Chandru, getting it sourced from a person who is overseas can reduce spending a bit more than purchasing it in India, but again the difference is not that significant, but yes there is a saving.

Komine Racing Suit is of both mesh, and leather at high impact areas, which is really amazing at 20k but that's as a introductory offer as mentioned by the site and it might be increased after that, but still a tad too costly for a meshed one.

Try sourcing full leather suits, you won't regret after buying leather suit than buying a mesh which if you take a spill and if it gets split then 20,000 is nothing but useless.

Go for full leather protection whatsoever. Yes it gets hot due to our climate and hey, we only wear it for track day right, so who cares if it gets a little hot than compromising on protection.
