RJays/AIROH should be avlbl with Bachoo Motors. I think they do LS2, just cross check with them. LS2, in Tamil Nadu there are a few retailes, but North side I have no idea.

AGV you can always use the FIRANGI sites.

P.S. If you have any future queries regarding helmets, you can kindly post them in the dedicated HELMETS thread, because we don't want scrambled information of helmets in this riding gear thread.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

      • Hi Guys,

A friend of mine is in the U.S. I was interested to buy a jacket and some basic knee protection. Overall i can pay about 6K for the jacket and 2K for knee protection. Can you suggest any particular deal available at any of the online stores. I wear size 42 shirts so I guess would have to go for an XL size.

        Thanks.

It's really hard to predicate the differentiation here at a set price point, reason being, there are oodles of jackets out there in FIRANGI countries and each jacket differs according to its price and specs. It'd be wise idea to inform your friend of the same price band, convert it to the country you're planning to source it from and then go for the cheapest available. Mind you different companies do have different sizes, even XL some don't fit it, so they revert to 2XL

Now the big question, why FIRANGI? You have lots of top-end jackets here in India and you always have the luxury of either visiting the store directly for a trial or you can return if you have a size discrepancy. If that were the case with FIRANGIs you'd have to spend even more for return shipping etc.

P.S. India has all the stuff you need, it's just that you need to search. If you need more info, read this thread and you'll get all the info you need.

          Cheers!

I was taken by surprise to see this. VEGA makes a number of riding jackets, pants and boots apart from helmets. Love the look of 12 o clock boots. Jackets look strictly ok. Wonder how they have priced it. Have a look ya ll.

@ sunnysideup - i tried finding their Indian address but could not. The only thing that led me to believe that it could be Indian is that, i foun their jacket designs very poor and quality looked average. Thanks for clearing the air sunny. But i like those shoes.

Tried pulling through the opening. It is small, infact too small to pull the thick foam padding out through that hole. Have to bent the padding, also I tired that but it has to be bent too much that I fear it may break the padding. Has anybody removed the back padding of cramster breezer 4? Please help.

Breathe easy. Almost all spine protectors in almost all jackets do have a small opening with which it has to be squeezed in and out. You have to bend the pad "U" or "V' shape then pull it out or insert it gently inside the velcro insert. No, it won't crack, deform etc. It's just based out of foam and once you wear it after installing the pad, it will just get settled in, pretty much more like the spring mattress.

Bachoo Motors doesn't deal with JR stuff, they deal with the Aussie company RJays, in jackets. You can try Performance Racing Store in Mumbai these guys are the official dealers of JR stuff in India.

Performance Racing Store. TEXTILE and MESH JACKETS

They have a big catalog of JR stuff, but the price is where one must be aware of, pretty costly in PRS. But if you can get the same stuff even cheaper from the site you mentioned above, go for it.

                            Cheers!

                              • Got a pair of Ares full guantlet gloves-black from the Spartan Pro Gear, I have been using cramster twister earlier.
Look and finish wise its the best gloves I have come across. I am totally in love with them.
I ll be using this for daily commute as well as for long rides.

Spartans have three gloves, Ares, pegasus and phaeton
I didn't find pegasus and phaeton to be of standard size(little finger alone was longer), so had to settle for Ares.
Have been using this for the past two days. There are few areas of improvement in them.
                                - It might not be suitable for short rides as its a bit time consuming putting them on and off until one gets used to it.
                                - Also I find a bit difficult to engage and disengage clutch with the gloves on as it restricts free movement.
Although no complaints with the right hand as there are no controls other than the throttle.

Ares comes in three different colors:-
                                - Red, white and black combo
                                - Grey, white and black combo
                                - Full black

                                Pros

                                - The carbon fibre finish knuckle guards really looks cool
                                - Multiple pieces of leather are skillfully stiched one below the other, looks like rose petals.
                                - It has three straps for safety purpose.
According to me its the best option available in that price range.
