Hey mate.. Congrats on your purchase. I was just about to post and ask for inputs on the same stuff that you have bought.
So finally have decided on Spartan Icarus Jacket, Spartan Perseus knee guards and now Phaeton gloves as well (after reading your post).
Thinking of changing my Helmet as well. Planning to go for LS2 helmets, the ones for 2800 as SOL helmets seems to be on the higher side.
Any inputs on LS2 helmets would be appreciated.

    Thanks. Ride safe.

Please check Speedking at Karol Bagh. They are the only one in delhi who receive stocks from the only authorized distributor (i.e. laxmi Auto, Pune) of LS2 in India.

But I have a request, please refer back to the thread after you have zeroed in on a LS2, why, because there has been a recent controversy with one of the LS2 model .............. take a look at some pages back to know more

I am too one user of Perseus and am feeling a few sorry points to discuss about the Perseus, but will do after I have a considerable experience with them.

It's not that cold in pune during winters so I think woolen liners won't be required. The leather ones would work fine and much better than mesh though.

Thanks! Well the thing is, I also have the same 2800 wala LS2 and well to be very honest, it's a clear cut replica . The original LS2's sell in the range of 100+ Euros so there is no chance that the one I have or the one you intend to buy is the real deal. Although it does feel and look like it's very protective, I still remain kinda skeptical purely because of the fact that it's a replica. Even the ECE Certification sticker looks like someone got it printed separately and just stuck it over the helmet with some glue. Apart from that it has a significant amount of quality issues, it's noisy above 80 and it fogs up in instant during the colder months but hey I'd have to be nitpicking considering how much I paid for it. I've already purchased a Joe Rocket RKT-201 which is currently at my cousin's place in New Jersey and hopefully it will be in my hands within the next month. So my recommendation would be that you save up for SOL.

Sure thing. It did get a little sweaty when I was wearing it for taking the pics but I think that might change when I am on the move. Giving it a test run tomorrow. Let's see how it fares.

              Hello guys,
please help me in choosing a proper riding glove.
background :- I expect to get my bullet delivered in next couple of days. Ride will be mostly city (45 kms max); occasional touring to places of interest (max 500 kms for the start)
The options that I have from DSG are as follows:-

              DSG Nitro Gloves : 2499.00
              DSG Revive Gloves : 2499.00
              DSG Carbon Gloves : 2999.00
              DSG Primal Gloves : 2999.00

I will prefer to go for the XL size.

What is the basic difference in the above models (Price is not of utmost concern over here). Which model to choose and for which occasion?
I enquired at the local authorized DSG shop at Pune, (Roadies, Pimpri), but the salesman was not able to provide any information.

Also this might sound silly, but does the gloves come in boxes? The salesman with whom I interacted had them wrapped in some "hanging-plastic bags" and informed me that there are no boxes (in other words, the gloves are not box-packed). I am therefore doubtful about the genuiness of the same.

              Please help me...

              Kind regards.

I have sent my helmet to Zulfi ( Bachoo Motors ) for inspection if there are any cracks r if there is any major damage. Luckily no cracks were found by Zulfi but the visor is costing me Rs2000/- and the clips that hold the visor costs Rs1000/-

No other option , so have to spend Rs3350/- ( Rs350 for shipping )

                          Rejoice Creeplings.

Dainese, the premium Italian motorcycle gear brand, is all set to open its first Indian showroom called the D Store in Bangalore this month. Dainese has tied with the Tusker Group, which has automotive, motorcycle (Tusker also owns the Bangalore Harley-Davidson showroom) and real estate portfolios, for the Indian operation and will be the master franchisee for India.

Dainese is based in Vicenza, Italy and has been a famous name in motorcycle safety circles. The company belongs to Lino Dainese and is amongst the top high-end motorcycle gear brands. Dainese also has a rich history of racing involvement. In fact, as CEO, Federico Minoli told OVERDRIVE, Dainese built the first ever knee slider for Kenny Roberts in the ’70s when the American racer became the first to get his knee down regularly while racing. Since then, Dainese has been at the forefront of safety gear and is currently busy amongst other things with their airbag systems that are already available for top flight racers as well was street riders.
                          Dainese Trickster Evo race suit

Minoli himself is a legend having been involved with motorcycles for ages, including as Ducati’s boss from 1997 to 2007. Today, among the many hats Minoli wears includes his role as a trustee for Riders for Health, the famous motorcycle-borne charity organisation.
Tusker’s Srinivas Reddy, who heads Dainese and AGV India, told OVERDRIVE that the plan is to have the major motorcycling cities in India’s covered by D Stores in the next three to four years. These include, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Pune and Coimbatore. Tusker will also open an online store shortly.
Dainese CEO Federico Minoli said that Dainese is working on an Asia-centric line of gear called the Hot Climate Line that will be offered for sale in the D Stores

Dainese will offer to Indian customers a varied range of gear, apparel and accessories. Given our hot weather, said Reddy, there will be a lot of mesh and textile gear, while cities with more permissive weather will also offer leather gear. Dainese’s strong racing associations — they clothe Valentino Rossi among other races — might paint a picture of a racing gear brand, but Reddy also intends to have retro leather gear for riders of non-sportsbikes, including Harley-Davidsons.
Minoli adds further that Dainese is also working on an Asia-centric line of gear called the Hot Climate Line that will be offered for sale in the D Stores. These focus more of comfort and safety in warm conditions like ours where a lot of European-style gear can prove too warm to be comfortable.
Tusker’s Srinivas Reddy, who heads Dainese and AGV India, told OVERDRIVE that the plan is to have the major motorcycling cities in India’s covered by D Stores in the next three to four years

This is obviously a good idea because motorcycle gear only works if you wear it, and if it’s hot and sweaty, chances are you won’t. Dainese also makes cycling, equestrian and skiing gear and the former is on the cards for Indian sale as well.
In 2007, Dainese became owners of the helmet brand, AGV. Tusker will also stock the D Stores with the imported line of helmets, including a new set of helmet fits designed for Asian head profiles. AGV also has a helmet manufacturing facility in Gujarat, but Minoli says that isn’t going to be integrated into the D Store inventory. Reddy points out that the inventory for D Stores will largely be imported.
When asked why Dainese has come to India, Minoli said, “Every big motorcycle manufacturer is here or is working on getting a toehold in the market. That tells us that everyone thinks India is going to be a huge market. Maybe not today, but in five years’ time. We want to be here, ready for the boom.”
Reddy adds, “There was a time when we all looked abroad to buy protective gear and we wanted to change that. We believe safety and protective gear is an essential part of motorcycling and Dainese, AGV and the D Store is an answer to that problem.”
You will be able to browse and purchase Dainese gear online at Dainese - Opening Shortly In Bangalore soon. The first D Store will be at 123A, first floor, Orion Mall, Brigade Gateway, Bangalore 560055

                          <i style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><i style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">

                          Cheers!
                          VJ
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Among your choices the "Revive" is the popular choice amongst bikers due to its comfort, easy break in & easy to wear & remove nature. Yes these gloves usually come in plastic packs (kind of transparent pouch). If you are in Pune then you can directly go to their store Planet DSG in M.G road or order online from www.planetdsg.com

Yes, I am now counting seconds, literally, for the prized possession to make its appearance. On Saturday I made the full payment to the dealership. Now just counting seconds....

Thank you Traveller01. I Ultimately got my riding gloves. Yes, I had inquired for the Revive model, but it was not available in stock. Per the salesman, it would take some time to come to the shops. In the mean time, he showed me another model (DSG Reaper) which I have not seen on their homepage. The sales man informs me that this has just been launched and I can give it a try. Did some checks and ultimately settled for the same.

DSG Reaper Gloves for the price of 2499.
