re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I think you quoted a different message there.. But I'll jump in nonetheless..Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostOrazo boots are all round very good boots, very comfy, provide excellent levels of water-resistance and good build quality. The Picus and Coot series are all commuter-ish based and do the work well. But bearing one thing in mind is the sweat issue, I feets usually sweat a lot, but with Orazo you can fell the perspiration inside the boot, not venting out to keep you cool, but this is only when the riding is hardcore riding for more than 9+ hours, is what I felt and experienced. But if you're the commuter, type, these are good boots.
Any reason specifically classifying the picus and coot as commuter boots? Should one go for the i-bis for longer rides in that case? Or ozaro in general would be more of commuter friendly boots less suitable for longer rides?

No worries bro if neither helios nor breezer is your liking you have plenty of other options too i am listing them all hereOriginally posted by Andy_kristine View PostAm I just left to choose either between these two jackets?
Are there any other all-weather jackets or even better if its a full time summer jacket excluding the Rjay's Octane available?? The Helios looks kind of flashy and the Breezer's look is not appealing, yet I found another variant of the Breezer, The Cramster Breezer-RS Which looks good and also matches my bike
,Look does matter for me Boss
even at the cost of some discomfort but never on compromising safety. A noob question, is this variant of Brezzer an all weather jacket too? Plus how does the Dsg Phoneix feel in hot climatic condition ?
Although been using it for five months I can't be a critic of it since it was my first and the only riding jacket that i ever used. It does get a little hot at stop signals but i taught this is how a jacket will feel and got used to it.

ohh..
I almost forgot heres a link for the Brezzer-RS, Its not been listed on Cramster's official site, found it elsewhere

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Hello all,
Now that I have a riding jacket(Zeus) as well as a pair touring gloves(Zeus street rider pro) couple of weeks ago(will post a 5k ride review, now just 1.5k done in them), I'm looking for an upgrade to my year and half old helmet.
I'm looking for a full face light helmet preferably no or minimal graphics and in black or almost black color.
The budget is around 10-12k.
It needs to be light... that's all I need, inc the obvious fact that it must save my shell in case of a fall ! :-D

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Any reviews on the Zeus touring jacket (rs. 8500/-) vs the Cramster K2K (Rs. 6000/-) ?
The material used in zeus seemed pretty good in terms of thickness etc. But i also felt the jacket was heavy because of the same. Also heard some complaints about stitching coming apart? Is it true? Im worried the heaviness will wear me down fast in the 20 day leh trip im planning.
3rd option at the higher end is the A Star Andes jacket. But for that price no back protection 😳

I've never bought gloves before.
All season is going to be difficult not to mention uncomfortable. You are in Mumbai so its either going to rain or it will be a little hot. No glove will meet these two requirements, besides complete water proofing is an issue for most motorcycle gear. Blaster is a good pair and looks cool from the images IMO. You can check out some other options from the websites given in post #11212. If you want to buy only one pair of gloves then I think you should buy the ones that have vents, actual riding in rain will be much less than in other conditions and in Mumbai you will need vents. There is no happiness for him who does not travel!

Which gloves you would recommend for mumbai's atmosphere?
My budget is strictly constrained to 2.5k.

I have been looking for a pair of gloves myself, and on extensive searching and study, have come to a conlusion that there wont be a single glove to satisfy all riding/weather conditions..Originally posted by punisherkunal View PostOh thanks, that was much helpful.

Especially now that summer has arrived, i decided to go for a dedicated summer glove, and out of all the available options i've picked the cramster flux for my summer glove.. All leather construction, perforated for good ventilation, and 1650 bucks, it's the best vfm summer glove in my opinion for mumbai weather.
I'll be buying it today or tomorrow from outdoor travel gear bandra. They apsi have a 5% discount going on for cramster stuff i belive..

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Going strictly by utility, Cramster Flux will be great IMO, it will also leave some spare cash for investing elsewhere (perhaps a rain resistant pair later). But motorcycle gear should also look as cool as possible, no? From the given websites you can select whichever vented leather glove catches your fancy. They are more or less similar in safety and quality.Originally posted by punisherkunal View PostOh thanks, that was much helpful.

My personal choice will be either Cramster Blaster or Spartan Pegasus (Spartan might of slightly better quality according to some users). There is no happiness for him who does not travel!

If you are looking at Leh, then the thermal pack in Zeus jacket might be useful, supposedly a patented technology & keeps you warm for 8 hours. I went to check on the Zeus all terrain jacket on a recent visit to Hyderabad since I could not come across a review online except for a video on YouTube. The jackets seems heavy and I was not happy with the stitch quality(with some threads standing out), it seems to be a well thought out product with an inbuilt pouch for hydration pack.Originally posted by UrbanNomad View PostAny reviews on the Zeus touring jacket (rs. 8500/-) vs the Cramster K2K (Rs. 6000/-) ?
