Spartan Helios is mostly Mesh - useful for summer/hot climate. It would offer excellent ventilation.
Zeus All Terrain Jacket is textile jacket. So it would not offer as much ventilation as Helios, but is would be useful in winters/cold climate.

That I found out....but I would like some first hand reviews. Especially coz Zeus markets it as four seasons jacket. With thermal liners(?) n all.

Thanks I had been a silent observer and noting down all the differences. Really good to see that now more and more variety is available and even more people are opting for riding gear. Cheers to that
I still have to explore the jacket properly, there seem to be a lot of pockets and clips ?

Need pointers for knee guards. Around 3k. Was thinking of Spartan Perseus.

Hi. I'm sorry i cant help you with the Zeus as i have not tested it. My roommate has a DSG nero which i have also used extensively. Its mostly codura material which makes it really hot during summers, and even though there are surplus vents, they just made me a tad uncomfy.

Helios. I bought it this last saturday, thats day before yesterday!!! So my please note its my initial impression ! I rode my bike for about 200kms wearing it , 8am-12pm, on the highway. Since it was crowded (surprisingly) my average speed was 70-80kmph. In the hot sun, Helios was a pleasant change as compared to the Nero, the mesh really worked wonders. I felt cool. Comfortable. I didn't feel the wind rushing on my arms, like you know, you just feel cool. Hard time explaining. hahaha.
The fit was pretty good, the armor in the exact place. I'm still to explore it more, but my initial impression is im pretty impressed.

^^ Good to know that. I have been planning to buy it; and use it in the high mountains as well albeit with multiple inners and the rain liner on. What price did you get it for?

It was something like 6500 + Vat. I'm sorry i don't remember the exact price and left the bill at cousins place.

Hello! Good buy there. I'm also thinking of getting Helios and a pair of gloves from LGU. Did you get any discount for buying them together, i.e items worth 10k or did they charge MRP?

No discount man. I actually didnt ask for a discount also lol. My total bill was something around 10.5k ( dont remember the exact figure ), which was including helios, ares and spartan balaclava.

Though not sure if its still applicable, you do get a 5% off off MRP at LGU provided you prove them you're an xBhpian. How you prove is upto you. Best bet, take a well known (to them) xBhpian along.
                      Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

hahah, i wasn't aware of that, though i mentioned a few times like ive researched about the gear many times on xbhp. No discount though. I felt more like going to a reebok/adidas showroom, you don't ask for a discount, if there is a discount, its mentioned there. My bad, doesn't hurt asking.

True. It just didnt hit me to ask for a discount. Even for the helmet which i got from Urvashi theatre road, i just did not ask for discount. Really silly of me. I just asked him to give me a clear visor for free ( i took mercury with my MT ) but he refused and gave me 2 head covers ( like balaclava only just will cover your hair part ). Funny incident was when he gave me those, from the first look i was like why giving me underwear

Sukesh is awesome. Actually the couple are pretty great and helped me a lot while choosing the size and suggesting other things. I was thinking of crampbuster , and on asking about it to Sukesh and if its really required, he smiled and i got my answer

I am looking for new gloves (Budget: 2-2.5k) those will work well in upcoming rainy season. I just measured the palm circumference and it comes out to be 8". I am thinking about Rynox Rampage but the site suggests that minimum size available is M (9"). I was wondering if these will fit my hands or not. I am open to other brands as well. I have spent so much time daydreaming about the gloves, need to make it happen now. Help please :-)

Getting a leather glove suitable for the rainy deasons is not a easy task. Most of the leather gloves you can find here to a extend are water resistant, after a few minutes in rain they start seeping through , though they'd do fine in drizzles.
Now a* has a waterproof riding glove. Check the dsg website for more details. Minf you therlse are also not 100% waterproof, and they also cost a lot ,also using them for the rest of thr sasons can be a bit too hot to handle.

                                Cheers
