Are Cramster Tundra gloves suggested for riding in Monsoon? They're waterproof and also resistant to cold. Was looking to buy Spartan Ares, but it's not in stock. I think buying the Tundra for now, and Ares later whenever it's available, will fill all my gloves needs.

Just want to know how the Tundra gloves are and whether they're really worth it.

First thing first, stop using those random sms language.

Coming next to the incident, I am not sure how you got so offended when sales person said they don't have stock. There is good chance that they don't have stock (helios sales like charm due to VFM) and thus you are informed the same. Having known the SPG ECR people personally, I highly doubt they will show this type of attitude with anyone leave alone a probable future customer. Having said that, I am not taking anyone side here but talking from top of my head with the previous uncountable visits i have done there in past.

I did buy SOL helmet from spg ecr only, 1 year ago.. they were fine at tat time..
May be i am not expressive enough to tel wat exactly happened in the showroom. I felt really offended inside while asking details. The showroom guy was not helpful at al. When i stepped out of the showroom, immediate response from one of my friends was "Ennada madhikavae maatraanunga " .... means "why they are not showing any respect"

If you say tat i have misunderstood the situation, how come my friend also had the same feeling.

Mostly true. Almost all the fox and axxo you see in the market are fake knock-offs, but, for the price point, they offer decent protection. Within 1500 you wont find any CE certified protection. All would have a thick fiber shell for protection which, by the way, is adequate for city riding.

Then, I would suggest increase your budget to around 5K. You would be able to source A*, spg perseus, thor sector, etc in this price range.

do knee sliders always necessarily come only with leather suits or leather pants and never with meshed-textile sportriding pants ? every now and again i have been searching around in the internet for the latter case (sliders on textiles) for over a year now but have never found one yet.

Sliders only help in sliding and they are quite heavy and is attached to the suits with velcro pads which all the suits have.
They are only available for racing suits or two piece suits. A normal riding pant neither have the velcro pads nor they come with sliders or any option like that.

Sliders are designed for aggressive knee-down riding where your knee actually comes in contact with the tarmac. Because of the weight of the slider puck and the forces that will act on the pants at that time, textiles simply don't have the strength and rigidity required to support the slider. Even leathers normally have two layers at that point and several other structural reinforcements. There are a few companies that have designed and made textile racing suits, like Komine but even they use leather and suitable reinforcements at critical points like that. Personally, I haven't yet found a textile suit that I would wear to the track.

For those interested in upgrading back protectors in their jackets, SpartanProgear provides Knox Advance X back protectors (CE level 1) as upgrade. Will cost around 2K INR. They used to stock sas-tec CE level 2, but have stopped importing it.

yes i know that mate but was still wondering if by chance there's one or two companies that make textile pants with sliders or was it absolutely necessary for some reason that they come only with leather suits. :-)

didnt know sliders were quite heavy though..considering that, yes no wonder they dont come with textiles.

yeah, sounds right...there's probably not any kind of textile with that much high tensile strength to suit the purpose.

thanks for mentioning one company (komine) that does it though. will check it out.

As mentioned by Sunnysideup, even me too just saw Komine textile suits with sliders but they have leathers inserts here and there. And yes they are quite heavy.
