Also avoid flip up helmet, they dont do the job of saving your chin and jaw area in case of crash. Dont keep you life at risk on the basis of just a "hinge" of the helmet.

For knee guards, don't go with the plastic and fancy metal ones that you get on Amazon or eBay. Buy the ones with CE approved like, Cramster, Mototech or the best one would be Zeus Motorcycle pants based on your budget. I found the Zeus pats to be fantastic and have used for 18 day ride in Ladakh. I can vouch for it that is is really comfortable and life saving.Originally posted by icarious View PostThank you all for clearing my doubt
. I guess I will just go with a mesh jacket and get a pair of knee guards. As for everyone who were generous enough to point me of the shortcomings of my Studds Ninja 3G Helmet (Studds Ninja 3G Economy Full Face Helmet (Matt Black, L): Amazon.in: Car & Motorbike is the one btw), I need a few suggestions
. I got the Ninja because I was clueless. The showroom people provided me with this so called "ISI Certified" helmet for gratis (I guess those 500 bucks cheap plastic ones, which was no different than riding without a helmet). Would use this for the pillion in short distances I guess. I need something that provides better protection, probably DOT or ECE certified (if protection was in question here). I am not much into styling and fancy colours. Something that is probably flip up similar to the Ninja which flips up into a half face (easier to stop and talk to people).Live to Ride!

Both are budget helmets. I would suggest, you try the fit in case you are purchasing it from a physical store as opposed to online. You have attractive variants of both MT and Kranos series from SPG, SOL is getting warmed up with new exciting decals, go for what fits your budget. Both are okay-ish helmet, but I'd suggest not to count too much on them. Just another budget stuff which does the job fine.Originally posted by pratikthereddevil View PostMt Axxis or SOL unicorn ...in terms of quality, safety and stability ( at high speeds) pls revert wanted to buy one

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Thanks mate.Originally posted by Jeren View PostHi Deepak 3565,
From my personal experience Singapore is not necessarily cheaper, but the quality of gear is much better. Also you will find brands that you would not necessarily get in India. Hodaka - Motoworld is where I picked up gear this time around.

I actually own both of these and use them in Mumbai weather. Can say the quality on both is really good.Originally posted by rahul_raj1990 View PostYou can try to check out solace sprint with passion gloves having good reviews see below links,

Have been using the gloves for the last 6+ months and had a fall today while wearing the gloves, no pain at all. Although it was at a slow speed, the gloves did their job very well. They didn't tear or anything either. Would definately recommend these.
The jacket has plenty of mesh to allow for ventilation and also comes with 1680D & 600D cordura which i didn't find in any other product for the price. The arms could have done with a bit more ventilation as your arms will start to feel a bit clammy after an hour of riding; maybe that's just me as I sweat like a pig. It also has CE lvl 1 armors for elbow, shoulder and back along with a thermal liner and rain coat. Used just the rain coat and it kept me bone dry and didn't cook me either.
Btw I was told by one of the company's local dealers that the gloves and jackets are actually made in Germany as my jacket took just over a month to arrive because they didn't have my size in stock.Last edited by Hammerhead02; 02-06-2017, 07:49 PM.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Well depends on how cold the temperature is because even when I go for early morning rides (6am) my hands never feel cold even at speeds of 100-120kph; might feel warm but never cold.Originally posted by shanthasoroobanr View PostThanks bro. So for winter and rain we have to get some other.. Any suggestions?
The palm is all leather and on the top the fingers and knuckles are leather and CF followed by fairly thick cloth towards the wrist.Last edited by Hammerhead02; 02-06-2017, 08:04 PM.
