      • My recently purchased riding gear...

        Dainese Knee Guards --

        and alpinestar freeride riding shorts--

        .
i may be the first person on xbhp to have these. these are very good products and provide excellent protection. Dainese knee guards are one of the best in world, offer rock solid protection and covers from above knee to almost ankle, so a part actually overlaps with my Rjays Edge Boots. this is a very important aspect. another thing is it fits inside trousers or jeans-- as you will see in other pics. Alpinestar free ride riding shorts again is the best riding shorts available in the world, provides hard protection to vital thigh bones and tail bone. excellent product.

some of my other riding gear recently purchased are- Rjays Edge Boots and Rjays H2O Gloves, both offer good protection-

i have got some discount coupons of Motorcycle Superstore, if anybody wants to purchase from them, get in touch.

Congrats on your new gear. What you upto eh?
I'm also planning on getting the Freerider shorts. Now that someone has it, i have a question. is it comfortable enough to use for touring? Suppose I'm wearing it underneath a regular jeans/cargos etc, how easy/difficult is it take a pee...
I'm asking coz, with the regular riding pants (Cramster Velocity, A* AST-1) etc, as they dont have zippers up front, one needs to sort of pull down the pants a bit. And these being worn inside, I'm assuming its going to be a bit cumbersome...
          Your thoughts on this?

            u can guess...

well, from the first look, it appears as if they will be uncomfortable, BUT they are not. i have not yet used it on long rides, but only 100-150 km rides...and i will say, they are not at all uncomfortable.

Suppose I'm wearing it underneath a regular jeans/cargos etc, how easy/difficult is it take a pee...

ya, that part is a bit cubersome, but the trouble is worth the protection they offer.

only thing is your normal size jeans won't fit outside these, you need either one size higher jeans or some really loose cargos.

and if you combine these 3 - alpinestar freeride riding shorts, dainese knee guards and Rjays Edge boots, then you can practically say goodbye to riding pants.

Need something for touring. Not necessarily water proof. Can manage with a normal glove too though unsure if they won't get spoilt in the rains?

              Budget is around 2k approx...

Will try out some Scoyco gloves, Rjays as well and report later. But if there are any recommendations, please feel free to let me know.

              • Got my TourMaster 1 piece rainsuit and A* Drystar gloves from RD. Consignment was shipped on 22nd July and was in the Post office by 16th August -- collected the parcel today.

Pretty good compared to my last order which was lost in transit and had to be reshipped
