Confused between ZMR, ZMA-R, R15, P220, A180

    Finally its here..!!

    Hey Guys...I finally bought R15 yesterday after waiting for nearly two months...!!..Bank rejected my loan last month and I said to hell with that and bought all cash this Navratras..!!!....
    Will post the pics soon of my red R15

    And guys I took the Navratras special offer of center lock and teflon coats package along with seat cover and net. All cost around 2600 Rs...!!
    And this center lock has a remote ignition function which starts the bike from a remote button...But yesterday I got shock of my life when I started through this remote and bike was in gear..!!..And when I started it, it took off and nearly fell but I was standing near so I managed to save it from fall..!!!....Oh Man my heart was in my mouth...I will go to showroom tomorrow and get this thing removed...!!!

        i dont think the bike would start if its in gear man..even if its a remote lock...you have to be in neutral or depress the clutch

          yeah you are right, bike SHOULD NOT start while its in gear but sometimes even my ZMR starts when its in gear, i dunno what's going wrong in it

            Are you serious?
            These Motorcycles feature primary clutch, so they have to start, if the clutch is pressed in, irrespective of what gear you are slotted in.

            And I am indeed wondering how did the dealer ship void Yamaha's warranty themselves and fit the cheap James Bond lock/unlock. Escalate this to higher officials of Yamaha, if tomorrow you face an electrical problem, your warranty stands void. (I think its already over as it wasn't a genuine Yamaha accessory)

              after pressing the clutch, if bike starts then its normal but even if i don't press clutch n by mistake self start button get pressed, it gives a jerk which i think should not happen as bike should not start if its in gear without pressing clutch..is it normal??

                I am yet to come across this aspect and surprised to find you citing the same. As the crank motor, I assume is cut off when the Motorcycle is in gear and won't come on till you press the clutch and or go to neutral.

                Get it inspected at your SVC. This ideally shouldn't be happening. I don't think its a problem with the clutch. Once it is rectified let us know on the ZMR thread and drop me a visitor message. I am curious myself to know its occurrence.

                  actually it doesn't happen everytime, it happens quiet randomly..i'll ask my SVC guy to check it again properly & will tell you the cause..

                    Actually they said its an offer from Yamaha only and it will be company fitted center lock, so warranty wont get void..!!...And yeah even I was shocked because yamaha dealer himself told me that it wont start through remote if bike is standing in gear...And I was just showing off this cool thing to my friends without knowing it was in gear..!!...And when I started it immediately took off...Thank. god I managed to save it...!!...I will just get it checked today at service center...

                          And Guys..I would like to have some suggestions from you regarding maintenance. I am right now driving at 40-50 Kmh and keeping rpm under 4K...Any other things which I need to take care of?...

                            Guys..I would be driving home tomorrow which is about 120 Kms from my place...Now driving at 50 Kmh would be a pain on highway...Can I keep it at 60 Kmh at least?...I hope this wont affect much

                              You can keep varying b/w 50-60. Dont keep it at constant speed.

                              BTW you dont DRIVE a bike.. You RIDE a bike. So you should say.. You will be Riding home.
