Buddy.. I can tell you the month right now.. but i am not sure that month's Auto Car Mag's P220 DTSi Vs Fazer shootout's result will agree with what you posted in post # 83. The month is September 2009. And if it does.. I am so bitterly disappointed with AutoCar India's standards. So.. I guess I am going to wait for you to post a scanned copy of the article so that we all know the facts.
And anyways I dont need to wait 5 days for you to post a comparo (The TS does). I can go out right now and smoke some Fazer @$$ in the next 5 minutes..
Edit: Anyways.. We can do a comparo right here right now...
Winners in respective aspects
Power : P220 (1.5 x Peak power of Fazer)
Torque: P220 (1.37 x Peak torque of Fazer)
Handling: Fazer
Braking (100-0) : P220 (P220 had the 2nd fastest [After Apache 180] 100-0 timing as per Bike India 0-100-0 test August '09 issue)
Lighting: P220 (35W Vs 55W)
Acceleration (0-100) : P220 (P220 had the fastest 0-100 timing as per Bike India 0-100-0 test August '09 issue) [Apache 180 was 2nd]
Poser Value / Looks : Debatable
Fuel Efficiency: P220
Top Speed : P220
Pricing: P220 is Totally VFM
Overall Score: P220 = 8.5, Fazer = 1.5
Congratulations! Fazer Won.Five!Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

wise decision Rishu bai .You have selected the best bike in India's 150cc motorcycle segment .Advance wishes.... Blue is sexy because check out R15 apparels and accessories page on YBI site all are made to match blue, the color itself is called racing blue ;also certain accessories are available in black color too that might match your red R15(Lets give some respect to parents decision). But if you can convince them go for blue hope its my favorite god Shani Bhagvan whose making your parent push them not to let you select black or blue being my favorite god will ask him to spare you so that you can select blue

any ways try it dear even gita says do your duty never expect paybacks
so try talking to your parents once if they deny go for red else try blue

Anyway, there is really no comparison between the two bikes. Many people feel the Fazer handles better than the P220, but you may ask any 220 owner, once you adjust to the fairing dimensions it is an absolute pleasure to weave around in even the densest traffic. Fazer has a very broad handlebar and an even broader RVM span. Everyone likes their own bike, obviously.. or they wouldn't have bought it in the first place.
Even god himself cannot convince me that the Fazer is a better product (barring Yamaha reliability) than the P220 in any aspect, let alone some guy writing a magazine.
I must say, great choice mate. R15 has truly set a benchmark in Indian biking. Technology and finish is top notch, I have nothing to explain regarding looks.Originally posted by raja_roadster View Postyeah red is awesome dude go for it have my word more gals are gonna gaze at you
wen you ride that red R15
Personally, i find the Yellow color beautiful. Check it out in flesh I am sure you'll change your mind. Looks like a babee

Been there, done that and no issues (neither with the bike nor with the rider i.e. me). The bike is a piece of gem no matter what trash people may give it ( I own a P220 still will never shy accepting the truth as i've ridden both pretty extensively.!)Originally posted by akki1501 View PostAbout R15...amazing feel while riding bike...but i'm sure u wont dare to drive bike for 150 kms at stretch
For R15 no matter what you do the response will remain the same (not in the negative sense).Originally posted by akki1501 View PostP220 gives better response if you use bike efficiently...' if you can take care of your bike'
@rishu: Glad you zeroed on to R15. The only reason i didn't go for that was i'm approx 6'3" and so it seemed a little small for me.
As for the pillion seat, it is also good. Never ridden zmr/zma so wont comment on them, but compared to P220 it's better at least in terms of softness

Ride it to believe it.My thoughts...

@harshit...Thanks..And yes Pillion seat seems to be better than apache and p220..
And Guys I want some suggestions from you..I am staying in rented room and in that house there is hardly any space to park the bike inside..Even my house owners park their vehicles outside..There is a park right in front of the house..The whole colony park their vehicles outside in front of park..
So I am feeling a bit concerned about my bike(rather than that the cost 1 lac..
)..
So please suggest me what security measures I can take..I have already decided to buy Xena disc lock for my bike..And also I am thinking of buying a thick chain with lock to park it outside (with park railings)..
And I can also get a cover to protect it from weather or unwanted scratches...
What other measure I can take??...Please advice....

First of all, I would say that you go for the ZMA-R.. This bike fits your budget and requirement perfectly..
And I have one (may be OT) question:
If I change the tube tyres of ZMA-R with the tubeless tyre of ZMR, will that improve/impact the ZMA-R's performance??
This question came to my mind as I myself planning to go for a bike between the R15 and the ZMA.. I dodn't like the ZMR (looks as well as performance)..One & Only,
NJ...

rishu try those touch sensor alarms used in cars the plus you can start bike remote controlling but use them only at nights in day time you cant avoid your machine being touched since its going to be one of its kind in your place all will be touching it the biggest set back is the dogs at night even if they attempt to piss on your bike the alarm will sound and wake you make you run all the way to the park to see the ***** pissing on your bike

Thanks for the suggestion Raja...!!..Actually the Disc lock which I am talking about comes in two versions..One without alarm and one with alarm...and that alarm makes 120db sound for 15 secs if somebody tries to break the lock...!!..and there is no way to stop the alarm manually..It will itself stop after 15 secs....!!...good enough to scare the thief away....So I am in dilemma that whether to buy without alarm or with alarm..??..Originally posted by raja_roadster View Postrishu try those touch sensor alarms used in cars the plus you can start bike remote controlling but use them only at nights in day time you cant avoid your machine being touched since its going to be one of its kind in your place all will be touching it the biggest set back is the dogs at night even if they attempt to piss on your bike the alarm will sound and wake you make you run all the way to the park to see the ***** pissing on your bike

Without alarm cost is about 2-3K and with alarm is 4-5K..
