R15 is perfect for your height.
And is definitely a better machine than the ZMR.

The ZMR is recommended only to those who want to go for long distance touring.

And i suspect that your feet will not even touch the ground on a ZMR.

And yes, the chicks will prefer the sleek looks of R15 than the huge sumo-wrestler like body of ZMR.

So, it is the R15 for you.

Hmm..Actually I am more in favor of R15 just because its faster and can reach 100+ easily(might be helpful when drive highway plains) and its 17 BHP.....And buddy I hope its not that bad on hills??...Should be atleast better than my passion...!!...

So what do you suggest?..Shall I spend 30K more on R15 or should go for Fazer??...
Tell me which genius told you that, R15 can't pull up on hills... I just now completed a hill off road ride on my R15, the roads were disastrous, forget the plain hill road... I had a pillion on board too.
As you can see a mere 13BHP Unicorn could cover up the hills... I think even 100cc can live up to some expectations undermining the effort.

Thanks buddy..Now my mind is more tilting towards R15..almost 95%...
One little doubt is about the pillion seat on R15..I heard its not very comfortable for pillion...Is it still better than RTR or FZ??...Because I would be traveling occasionally with pillion....

I did the detailed TD of the bikes and then decided on R15. You can go through my TD comparision on this thread:

To clear certain things its pretty comfortable. Initially I had shoulder pain for 3-4 days, but later there is no problem. Also note, I experienced this same pain (initial 3-4 days) when I used my friends Unicorn for 3 weeks. So this is only till you get adjusted, after that I find it comfortable.

          Hope this helps.

Hey thanks for suggestion buddy...You really did good job in selecting bike for yourself....This would suddenly help me to selecting my bike....Your experience has also made me more inclined towards R15...Hope to TD it soon...!!!..Is there anyone who have used it on hills??...Please share experiences...!!..

Hey pretty nice to hear that..!!...So my hills usage doubt is also cleared...!!...So now my mind is 98% for R15...!!...Now I just pray to God that I get my due appraisal soon and buy this awesome machine for myself..!!...And buddy I would be financing..So how much down payment should I be making to keep the monthly EMI close to 2K..??...
I was thinking of paying 40-45K...Do I need to add more??...

And one thing more, I would be first time in my life buying something major with my own money..So it would be an emotional moment for me...!!..

Depends whether you choose Government or Private finance and also the duration of paying it back. The Yamaha guys after all I know have a tad high interest rate.

But, anyway 45K is too low for an EMI of 2K Rs. (I am assuming it for 1 year). I paid an EMI of 3300 Rs p.m. for the period of 1 year and financed amount was only 40,000 Rs. In your case, it will be 65-80K Rs so expect a lot more high EMI, especially for 1 year. And you need to have a Income Tax record for getting a loan too.

Hmm...Actually I would be paying for 24 months...And I can afford to pay around 2500 a month...I think I may have to wait for a month or two to make the down payment of 60K..So rest amount would be 50K for two years...Then I think EMI should be around 2500..
And yes this year I paid my income tax for last year..So I hope that should be fine...

there is a difference between initial power between zma,zmr and 220 with respect to r15.imo the other bikes fare better than r15 with regard to hill climbing.the real power comes after 5 or 6k rpm in r15 and you cant be in that rpm when negotiating a upward steep hill climb.so mostly you have to roll on in 1st gear for more torque.where as the zma,220 can easily go on in 2nd or 3rd gears.cornering is unmatched and clearly r15 is the winner.i am not saying that r15 or any other 100cc cannot negotiate hills, but the level of difficulty is more in r15 when compared to other higher end bikes

see if you maily live in plains and go once on hillls i'll say go for r15 worth spending 30k extra atleast u will gane another 20kmph on your top speed then fazer... its very anoying to see speedo metr stuck at 110 some time rarely 112...and due to it good handling... you find it very slow.. you really don't feel the speed.. and you will always wish you had a bit more.. i had few reasons not to buy r15 firstly its too small for me.. and have seen big guys riding r15 they look clowns and don't want to look one.. i go a lot off road.. so prefered trye with extra grip.. and lastly my girl liked the mascular body of fazer then r15 so how could i say no to her... so canceled my r15 booking and luckely he had red fazer..so went for that.. and iam not disapointed.. i mainly need speed till 60 or max 70 roads are not worth more then that.. so iam happy... and its not bad at all on hills.. as i mentioned i salute r15 its a masted piece came out from master brains of japan..and its basicly a track brike.. so cant xpct that it will awesome on dirty roads or off roads... every bike has its pourpose.. you got to fit one with your pourpose.. or change you pourpose with the bike you desire haha

hmm...Nice thought..Change the purpose for desired bike..!!...Well I agree I like R15 so much that I can even change my usage according to it...!!..
Well as far as my usage is concerned, 70% city, 20% highway plains and 10% hills...I think R15 should be good for me...
Now just hoping that things go the way I have planned(money and all...!) and guys any idea if there would be any discount or any schemes near Diwali??...

its not the matter that it takes you or not but the thing which matters is how easily it takes you. Even splendor can conquer the hills but there is a lot of struggle in it. There would be a lot of gear shiftings in the R15 due to its power concentrated in higher rpms while the zmr, zma & p220 have loads of torque in their lower rpms which reduces the GCPM (gear changes per minute).

I am little bit more inclined towards ZMR than ZMA-R.. But one of my friend who owns P220 told me DONT buy ZMR because people who have bought it are facing problems with it..I dont know what exactly the problems are but he said Its not worth buying ZMR...Its so confusing now for me...
My only concern is I dont want to risk my 90K bucks and then regret for life...
But my heart is still showing me ZMR and R15..!!!!...I dont know why..!!!...

And guys if I can afford R15 then which is better ZMR or R15??...( My hills usage would be only for about 1.5 years till my marriage...!!...)

Well hope till I make up my mind, Apache or Yamaha come up with new models so that I can have other choice than ZMR and R15...
The bikes above 90K (ZMR & R15 in your case) that we have dont pose any risk and know for their rigid quality (assuming ZMAs performance all these years). But they need good care and maintanance and a little expensive. Like Chain cleaning and lubing maintanace is the one that requires most attention...I spent a lot on Motul clean and lube for my R15.. and I always wanted my bike to be in mint conditions and a single unsual sound bugs me a lot.

Both are faired bike with out any protection..so a fall will be and broken side panels will cost you minimum of 1500 for R15 and more on ZMR, and you dont want your Knee hurted than the borken panel...belive me its a pain.

Coming to Pillions and if you getting married soon...ZMR has decent advantage here...comfortable seating and good grab rails. R15 has decent but lack of foot rest and smaller seat compared to ZMR it would be difficult if the pillion sits on one side. This has been one of the reason that I had to sell of my R15 after my marraige. (Dont mean to scare you though)

You take proper care of the bike..they wont bug you unless there is bug (defect) inbuilt in it.

R15 pillion seat is definetly better than FZ, not sure about RTR. But depends on the way your pillion sits. Two sides wont be problem in all the bikes.

At the end, Wise choice would be ZMA considering all the factors...and use the saving for your marraige/honeymoon etc..!
