  • @shivank : buddy do you have a problem with all r15 owners? What happened...did your girl leave you for some one who has an r15? What do you havd against r15 and its owners?

@thread starter: go for the rtr if your riding consists of bumper to bumper traffic conditions....else r15 will be well worth the 35k extra

No not 'all' buddy..I did a mistake first by writing 'R15 owners' in my first post..To which I think I've apologized later..But of all the owners I've come across since then only a few were sensible like, Darkknight..who replied genuinely..Appreciate that really!

Sadly though I thought you owned the 'busa and therefore, was thinking to reply to your second question' my girl and R15 hatred'..A quick look at your profile here suggested you own one R15 too...and it not even took me a second to think why not to answer that shitty question..

First, those who think I've special hatred towards R15 or its owners..Know this..My single point was/is DO-NOT suggest anyone to go blindly for R15.Second,as a member of this community I believe we must respect every other bike and biker (whosoever thinks he/she is) ..This a place where we should put our points forward..I wrote what I had in mind. What I've been watching all around for so long?..May be I've put my point in a way too sarcastically or funnily but I didn't intend to hurt anyone's sentiments or his beloved bike.

And then, when people like the above person and many more rather than listening to my point or even arguing me on that take words like 'arrogance' and ask me silly questions to answer..It sure beats me..Just go back from where I've posted first and see how people are trying to bump me down...

About my girl..It has been quite some time since she left..Even before the R15 was launched with a guy with a yellow ZMA! ..ZMA owners beware!

PS: We must also discuss about use of smiley and their importance..Some people just don't understand them..
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

This is India not the U.S. of A. where you get 15-20 bikes that go with your requirements. Here the so called performance segment starts at 150cc and ends at 225. So those who ask for a lightweight bike with good performance, two bikes come to mind:
        1. RTR
        2. R15
And when you look from the point of view of a buyer, the R15 as a whole package is better that the RTR. Sure you have to shift through gears and sure the turning radius is a bit too much for normal city riding; but still, the pros for the R15 is much more than cons.

This is why people tend to say "Go for the R15, it's the best"
And I too agree that it may leave a sour taste in the mouth of some. Still You could have put that forward in a manner that would not require you insulting other people's intelligence.

Second,as a member of this community I believe we must respect every other bike and biker (whosoever thinks he/she is)
And when you say that people buy the R15 for it's fairing, this is exactly the "RESPECT" that you show towards them.

Neither sarcastic nor any fun to read at all, just comes off as you dissing the bike and everyone who ownes it.

And then, when people like the above person and many more rather than listening to my point or even arguing me on that take words like 'arrogance' and ask me silly questions to answer..It sure beats me..Just go back from where I've posted first and see how people are trying to bump me down...
You think there might be a reason as to why almost all who glance on your post leave back a reply (or as you've said "trying to bump me down"). Your posts are insulting to R15 owners. Believe me you although almost every douche who rides an R15 knows nothing of it's potential and ride it like a splendor (no offence to splendor owners) to get max fuel efficiency, there are those of us who know what's under neath. I for one read the whole r15 ownership thread before I went in and gave that old bald man at the yamaha showroom 1lakh INR.That was about 1000pages and 10000 posts of knowledge, So when you say that everyone who buys an R15 buys it because of the fairing, you are wrong.

About my girl..It has been quite some time since she left..Even before the R15 was launched with a guy with a yellow ZMA! ..ZMA owners beware!
Alright you can start insulting them now I guess. There are enough threads in this section for you.

PS: We must also discuss about use of smiley and their importance..Some people just don't understand them..
Perhaps if you get time after you've done insulting bikes that you dont own and their owners, you can start a thread and illuminate us all with your knowledge. Maybe the mods will even make it sticky

        • Ok guys chill !

Parth- RTR is shit bike, R15 rocks!!!
Shivank- R15 sucks truckloads, RTR is pumpin!

This always happens at the "What bike section", the thread starter puts up a question, and then takes a bag of pop corn in his hands and watch the owners of both the bikes collide

In this case the guy seem to have taken a bus to Munnar, as he's nowhere to be seen.

At the end of the day the R15 guy will vote for the thing and RTR guy will praise his.

This is a never ending debate.

I request mods to please merge any oncoming questions from the newbie like - P180 VS RTR180 or ZMA-r VS P220, or R15 vs RTR, cuz we already had so much on them!!!!

I for one will never ever say that RTR is not good. I was looking at it myself, you may even find my thread in here. I learnt to ride on an Apache 150 and I've always defended RTR's against the usual "chhoti lagti hai bike, and TVS ki hai achhi nhi hogi"

(Translation: The bike looks so small, Since it's a TVS it won't be good)

I just hate that none of my buddies have an RTR. I'd love to take one out for some runs once in a while.

After going through the following post (the link above) which was gross to say the least, I replied below and I can safely say that the post was a heresy, a 'I heard so & so...' thing.
Have you ridden R15 enough to comment? Because even if you claim, I don't think most (unbiased riders) will agree to your reasoning.

@Sheel..Yes sir, points taken..I claim that I've ridden both the bikes through almost every terrain and thousand miles. What ever I noticed and heard-it was a mixed conclusion..Please note it was not 'heard' and copied material..It has been just two years of riding though but I've learnt a lot here at Xbhp...May be good enough to distinguish between characters of two totally different bikes..

I stand for whatever I've said in my first post.. I'd like to correct that it wasn't aimed for all the r15-owners...But seems all have been offended!
                Sincere apologises..

Thanks for the knowledge shared throughout..I enjoyed my stay here through all those threads...Will continue reading the magazine..But I bet won't come here and would ever try to discuss over something..Kills time.Kills fun!

                  And no one leaves XBHP

We all sometimes get into discussion in the forum, but at the end of it no one takes it to the heart, it all ends like hitting our beer cans together and having fun!

Sir it is unclear to me as to whether your post was meant for me of for shivank. If it were meant for me, I'd say that although my riding experience of my R15 is limited to just a measly 5k kms, I do have a right to comment. This being a public forum, everyone has a right to speak their minds.

If it were my post/s that have lead you to take a step back, I apologise. I do not wish that any xbhpian leaves the community because of my posts. I'm ready to take back all that I've said if it were to stop you from leaving. Although I'm not saying that you're right, but the fight of who's right and who's wrong is not worth letting an xbhpian go.

Though I did not like the way Shivank put his opinions, I MUST admit that I did benefit from his sarcasm n insult loaded posts. Only after seeing his posts I went through many more threads to confirm that the R15 is quite a beatable bike even by the technologically hampered RTRs and Pulsars of similar capacity.

I was getting really irked by the kind of tone Shivank was using... BUT I somehow feel a bit bad that he's contemplating on leaving the community.

                            • Ah... well guys, I guess everyone seems to be blaming me (perhaps not!) for the argument happening around, as I'm the TS (second leg of the discussion).

I wanted to choose between these two beautiful piece of machinery (RTR & R15) so I started the thread. The best part is that I posted my decision in the 8th page of this thread and no one seems to have noticed (or may be ignored it).

Wanna thank you guys for suggesting me the pros n cons of both the bikes! I've decided in favor of the R15 and gonna book it in the next 10 days or so. I'd hardly ride it in the city so R15 seems a better choice for me!

RTR owners/supporters- I'm sure we all understand what a thrilling performance it delivers and that is why we have a hot debate going on!

                              R15 owners/supporters- I'm joining your team!

                              Thanks to all, once again!
