@Akhil - this is the current trend in Marriage invitations bro... I have a few such invitation lying in my office cabinet. Yeah, sometimes these lack required information like the address etc. Right now, those who cannot make it for the marriage and want to attend the reception, have no other way other than asking him directly where its gonna be held!!

Update: Those who are attending the All Kerala New Year 2011 G2G, please refer the new thread and fill up the form. The full details will be added to the first post shortly. Until then, refer Swas's post today..

1000+kms in 17 hrs is good. but you must have nailed your clutch. if you continue doing this it will wear out the clutch plates resulting in clutch slippage. r15 can take the beating to some extend. but some other bikes would have been completely nailed after such continuos abuse.

            • Hi friends,

After lot of thoughts for an upgrade for my FZ16 i have finally decided to go for an R15... I was waiting for a 250cc bike for the last 6 months or so... i am not saying i have been boared with FZ, but yes its time for an upgrade with surely the affordability factor in mind... And after the long wait Honda has decided to come with the CBR250R, when i first saw the news in xbhp i was really excited to the core that i am gonna get her for sure and after reading the news(i mean the cost) it really disappointed me with a price bracket of 1.8lakh with not so exciting specs i was disappointed, but again i tried to convince myself that its ok, but whenever i try to convince myself my mind always says "why should you go for a 1.8lakh bike which is not so exciting(for me) instead of choosing which you liked to own previously?" blah blah blah... - did i get satisfied by this thoughts? - NO
Then suddenly another point stike my mind... i just called Yamaha showroom guy and asked how much will they offer my 1.10 year old FZ?
he said anywhere between 45-50K, i said... is that it(the greedy old devil)? yes sir...(in my mind i was like COOL)
so if i take her in loan(which i already got a BAF privillege card) i don't need any further loan verification, the only thing i need is to change my bank account number to my current salary account - he said that's not a prob... COOL
If i can buy R15 in loan i can save ~15k every month(not including the loan amount) which will be a really good thing, so that i can buy a big bike after couple of years(hopefully)...
My first plan was to save 15k per month to buy the Honda 250, but even if save like that also i will need almost/more than a year to buy her which i thought is not a good idea... so this is the plan which raised in my head...

the reason for such a boaring post is to ask you guys for your valuable suggestions/new ideas... coz after all i can't discuss these things with my other friends(Reason: simple, they will ask are you mad etc.). so in this case i don't wan't their suggestions, i wan't you guys suggestions

P.S: suggestions not include the bike, coz i have zeroed the choice to R15, reason due to my personal likings...

              • @Binoy - there is no wrong or right when it comes to personal choice. Instead of waiting for an unknown time, you can start enjoying your new ride right away!! Nail it bro!! No more should NH7 be a challenge before you...

                • good choice. r15 is a good machine. i would have liked you to wait for the cbr. i am personally thinking of upgrading to cbr. any how if you are so impatient. buy the 15 as fast as possible enjoy it for a while and as soon as the time for the cbr release comes sell it off and buy the cbr. 2-3 month old r15 get awesome resale values.
                  my calculations:
                  take loan of 60k.(110k-50k)
save 15k per month for 4 months(jan to april) ie you save 15*4=60k by the end of april. which will pay off your loan(interests extra of course)
                  enjoy r15 for 4 months.
suppose your odo shows 6k after 4 months. you sell the bike and you get 85k(recently an r15 which did 6k was purchased for 85k(source :hilto))
take loan of 100k and buy the cbr.
with decent savings per month you will pay off the loan in 1.5 years.
ie, by the end of 2012 you will get all deals settled.

@akhil the CBR price tag is the main reason am going for R15, otherewise R15 will be in my garrage some 6 months back... but as like @Lijo said i can't now wait for an unknown time... the only concern for CBR is the price tag... i will buy it if it comes under 1.5lakhs onroad, i think it wont happen

Also is R15 really painfull for long rides? for me that's very important...
