Requesting all tvm xbhpians to assemble at the KSRTC City depot, Next to (old) RTO, (Pattom Thanupilla Park, Josco jewellers) at 9:30 AM on Thursday, from where we can proceed to attend Sreenath's marriage at Vaikundam Kalyanamandapam. It will be good if everyone can wear the xbhp T-shirt..

Hello all..............I am back from my south solo and was in touch with few kerala xbhpians (both tvm and kochi). some bothered to help out and some chose to ignore. Nevamind, here is a brief log.....

this is what I have been up to for the last 20 days. Will post the link in the touring section and share it here soon :-

Ride : Yamaha R15 (Solo)

Places rode through :-

Hyd - Kurnool - Ananthapur - Bangalore - Mysore - Nilgiri - parts of Ooty - Each and every 14 district of Kerala - Coimbatore - Salem - Madanpalle- kadiri.

Places Visited :

Mudumalai Tiger reserve - TN
Nilgiris and tea estates of Tantea and Nestle - TN
Bandipur National Park - TN

Kerala District wise break up :

Kasarcod : Bekal fort (featured in few movies especially a song in the movie Bombay)
Kannur : Muzapilangadi drive in beach (the only drive/ride in beach in kerala)
Calicut : Calicut beach, Kappad beach (Vasco da gama landed here way back)
Wayanad : Thamarassery Churam (famous for its beauty, traffic and danger,9 hairpin bends in this 14 km long pass)
Malappuram : Kadampuza Devi temple (this was a must on my list)
Thrissur : Famous Guruvayur temple, Parthasarathy temple, Athirapally waterfall (80 ft fall featured in the boyywood flick Ravan)
Ernakulam : Kodanad elephant training centre, Kaladi, Malayattur church, Bhuthathankettu dam, Thattekad bird sanctuary
Idukki : Thommankuthu waterfall
Alapuzha : Krishnapuram palace, Mannarasala temple
Kollam : Backwater trips and stay at Ashtamudi Lake, Kollam beach,Neendakara port and Peruman temple
Trivandrum : Kovalam beach, Shankumugham beach, Kanakakunnu palace, Napier museum, Valiyathura bridge, vettimuricha kotta and the hill station Ponmudi.


Total km on odo : 4166
One service done at Hilton autos in Trivandrum (Thanks to lijo from tvm xbhp)
casualities if i may say so: right mirror broke, one puncture and managed to loose my dsg primal riding gloves

Return trip started from Ernakulam on Dec 07 at sharp 7 am. Did a non stop run via Palakkad, Thrissur, Coimbatore, Salem, Krishnagiri (NH 219), Palmaner,

Madanepalle, Mudigubba , Kadiri (NH 205), Ananthapur, Kurnool (NH7) to Hyd in 16 hours and 42 minutes flat. Included one sutta break and one snack break.

1211 kms in close to 17 hours.

PS: I was not trying for IBA, I just wanted to get home and see my mom .

hey vinu...you came to trivandrum and missed out seeing /riding with us ?? !! thats very bad !! the last time i saw lijo for our meet up, i asked about your ride and he didnt hav any clue about what you are upto !! you could have atleast posted in the thread so that we all could have ridden to ponmudi together. there was a lot more to show u in trivandrum than just these !!!
on which dates did you touch tvm ?

@lijo called me when @vinu was at kollam and asked for servicing his bike, i gave Hilton's supervisor's("Sydney", ya that's his name) mob number and tell that he's my friend(the reason is that one can't get the bike serviced in one day there coz of raining Fazer's & FZ's now, he gives a lil consideration for my words)...
But day which vinu started riding towards TVM i was on my way to Thrissur, so can't meet him neither.

Anyways @Vinu congrats for your solo ride and very well executed. Kudos!!!

@Vinu - congrats on the successful ride bro... I apologize we could not meet up. Lets make up next time... And yeah, the credit for getting you timely service of the bike goes to Binoy. I was just the mediator...

@Varun - Vinu was here on weekdays, and most of you guys were held up with exams. Even I could not meet up with him despite being in touch.

@Akhil - this is the current trend in Marriage invitations bro... I have a few such invitation lying in my office cabinet. Yeah, sometimes these lack required information like the address etc. Right now, those who cannot make it for the marriage and want to attend the reception, have no other way other than asking him directly where its gonna be held!!

Update: Those who are attending the All Kerala New Year 2011 G2G, please refer the new thread and fill up the form. The full details will be added to the first post shortly. Until then, refer Swas's post today..
