The Official Pune Offline Meet(G2G) Thread

Kaas lake is about 30kms from Satara city and the whole trip will be about 150kms one way(total about 300 kms). Route is the same that we take for going to Mahabaleshwar i.e. NH4 (Banglaore Highway).The meeting point is Chandni Chowk at 5:30am as mentioned by ankit and all those who get late, plz ride fast and catch up with the group on the highway.

As was discussed earlier on the g2g, all the riders who are coming for this ride should have the following things on them.

1. Helmet
2. Jacket(Riding/thick windcheater)
3. Knee guards (Elbow guards too if ur not wearing a riding jacket)
4. Gloves
5. Driving Licence
6. RC
7. PUC
8. Xerox of bike insurance.

All of the above will be checked prior to the start of the ride. If any of the above are missing then that person will not be allowed to ride with us.
Also, please wear Shoes. No chappals or sandals while riding.

So yeah...me and sagar decided to kickstart the new year with something that we plan to do all year long.
1st Jan : Lavasa
Wasnt a bikers ride or anything. After a party at my place with some of my non biker friends we got up the next morning on 1st, only to decide that we should all go to lavasa.
Sagar happened to call me just then and readily agreed to come along, albeit an hour later. So me and my friends left while sagar caught up on us half way through.
The hour was perfect and my stomach was becoming a ***** to take. With 6 free motions already since morning I found myself letting out some more fluids and salts through loose motions behind a bush in lavasa. Ah....the pleasure of dumping ur toxins in nature comes pretty close to the pleasure of riding itself.

Some kawasaki Racing Team chicks chimed in in our riding too and we rode them back to our homes as trophy for the day

Anyways...heres how I spent my new years. Its wonderful to have another awesome ride all new and dandy for tomorrow. 2010 I welcome thee !

P.S Notice the difference between the two pics where I have drawn the lean angle lines on the pics for enhanced clarity. ( The set of pics in the above post has sagar taking the turn on the ninja 250R ) The one below is me.
Same corner...same bike..but different body positioning. Makes so much of a difference to the clearance levels !

Directions for Kas -

Once we enter Satara city, and ask for directions for "tunnel" - towards road to Sajjangarh/Kas. These are narrow town roads. Just before tunnel, you turn right towards Kas. Kas valley is about 25kms from this place.

About 12-15kms further from Kas, the road winds down to a small village called Bamnoli - on backwaters of koyna dam. You can enjoy boating facility there.Kaas lake is near satara off NH4. it is about 25 km from satara on bamnoli road.
