A really good G2G after a long time. Good company ,good food,bikeng related discussion and OYM contest.
@ Revvrend : thanx for appreciating the efforts I had put in.
As there were no contestants for R15 category,we conducted it only for 220 category and Anant is the winner and NO.. Prize was not cadbury bu something more sencible than that. Next would be R15 and RTR. Am sure anant would like to comment on OYM contest and give suggestions so as to improve it further.

As decided yesterday there will be ride to mapro garden pachgani on 4th dec sunday. We think the place will be crowded so suggestions are welcome till wednesday. As this ride is for new member induction lavasa wont make a good venue fo ride

@ Satyen : OYM is own your manual contest. I had conducted it to have some bike related activity in g2g and thought knowing manual thoroughly could help in maintaining bike.

Sorry everyone, i missed the G2G. In fact it was a very unplanned evening for me and pankaj as we were riding at lonavala on saturday which involved some twisties followed by sunday early morning 3 am ride to Bhor --> Mandra devi --> Wai --> Panchgini and back to pune and this was how i celebrated my bike's 1st birthday on sunday.

No issues with the road. But be ready to hike or trek for a day if not then drop the plan..anyways I'm won't be able to make it on 4th...

If you have obsessive compulsive disorder, you can go for oil change now

Sticking to manufacturer's recommended oil change schedule actually makes sense. Lots of people change oil even at 200 - 300 km but it really is not necessary.

thankfully nothin of that sort of disorder ... did well throughout the trip ...
I also guess .. going with the manufacturers recommendations wd b wise ..

you don't get to see that many birds nowadays at karnala -- the only good time serious bird watchers (no pun intended) go there is very early morning 5-5.30 am or so

else it's an enjoyable 1.5 hr trek to the top with nice views all around karjat,khopoli,rasayani & panvel view.

A dhaba below (sai krupa or ekvira) both offer excellent food.

Rohit i think its a bad idea for panchgini, as this is a newbie ride, and taking newbies directly for 200+ km run via khambakti ghat and prasarni ghat, can be bit problematic for those who are unexperienced in ghat riding.

I would suggest a breakfast kinda ride to lonavala as the road is straight and they can learn group riding signalling and all.

On the contrary, please make it mandatory for all riders to have RVM (Rear view mirrors) installed on their bikes.
