yep! . I should have brought the bike across myself but i was afraid i was gonna dump it in the mud and that would have been awful . I had the guy (oh gosh i forget ur name!) with teh discover do it. Thanks to all the guys who organized the trip, i'll never forget it. The after dinner ride was a challenge!

wen we almost reached there after spkin with the forest officials, i could see few guys on the other side of the broken bridge.satish was in front of me. one village guy (CT100) told me its impossible to cross such big bikes on the other side. i still remeber he stood there n saw in open mouth the off-roading skills of fella bikers.

Hehe I know the drunk guy actually took away the show from all of us! And we got to see John bhai's mud spin if not for his famous wheel "BORNS"!
And yeah man, those Thirumala bugggers and their inside waala showroom are too good, have almost everything. An actual one stop shop! Apparently they're expanding that interior showroom for more stuff!

                  • Looks like you guys had even more fun after we parted ways.. Would've loved to join you guys, but the by product of owning an expensive bike is that I have to work on holidays sometimes..

Like I said earlier, it was a great ride. I had fun with you guys, and like I said yesterday, for so many first time riders, to have a disciplined formation and safe G2G is a very good sign for Bangalore xBhp.

Thanks to Sunil for the flags, and his company as always. An Independence Day G2G would never be one without Sunil on board. I don't even have to mention John's role yesterday. Fantastic stuff John. Glad to have you onboard with us.

Special mention to Ajay, for playing the sweeper role to perfection. I would drop back every now and then to check on the head/bike count, and all I had to do in the end was to check with Ajay. Perfect stuff man.

Pics from my side are here:

                    Start at Silk Board Junction:

Stop to regroup after the horrible traffic.

While waiting at the turnoff to the dam from the highway:

                    First sight of the dam:

                    Lining up for a pic:

                    Group photo:

The occasion, the location, and the medium:

                    Getting ready to leave:

After everyone left, my boots began feeling lonely.

                    And so did my bike..

                    That's it from my side.

PS: My apologies to the whole group who were waiting for me at the entrance of the dam on the road. I thought I had told you guys to carry on and that I'd sync up with you guys somewhere on the highway. So it was a shock to see the bikes all lined up by the side of the road, after I took my own sweet time taking some photos, gearing up etc. I think you guys lost a good 15-20 min there.

PPS: With this ride, my R1 has inched very close to the 10000 km mark. It will be going to service soon to change the clutch plates and a nice new rear tyre. The clutch was slipping post 9k RPM and the rear was tramlining all over the place on the way back. But wouldn't have it any other way

The presence of the ONE among was a real booster for a lot of us. It gave us a extra bit biker attitude.. ..
