Dude, dont take it so seriously man. Apply for it and for this one time you can come along. Its not like we will kick you out if you dont have it. Apply for it and for the next ride/g2g you will be all set So just hop on and have fun. Just think in this angle generally, would you like to pay 300 challaan or grease the cop for his dinner or spare all that headache and spend the money on yourself? Hope you get the point.

Just come over for the g2g. Apply for the insurance meanwhile. And hey, RC, Licence and Helmet are pakka though!

I completely support the "Safety Gear" part which Rahul had mentioned in his post. We are in the process of regularizing these things in all cities and good to see Hyd xBhpians are also trying to implement the safety gear thing in their G2G's.

@Rahul-I'm not sure but I guess many guys won't have elbow & knee gaurds currently with them so everyone should be given a month or so to make the purchase of same but the rest of the safety gear part should be mandatory for all from the next G2G itself.

I have been personally asking everyone to buy the safety gear, first aid kit & tool kit for a long time. Iam happy to see some positive response from their end & i hope that everyone will have it soon. And as you said it would take almost upto a month for everyone to have it.

I dont make rules, But still I will take the privelige of telling you few that we have been following since few years in City G2G's or the G2G's just for sake of meeting eatch other and no involving any ride.

These are few things we follow for City G2G's.

1. Be it a G2G or not, Helmet is the thing you MUST not forget before you are on the road with the bike. Make sure your bike is in healthy condition and follow the traffic rules.

2. RC, Insurace, PUC and Licsense are not optional. These are MANDATORY. If your bike is not from the residing state, dont forget to have NoC also. A group will always attract cops and people, so lets be legal with this.

3. Jacket and Gloves arent going to hurt any way. So why not start using them. They are very usefull and will avoid irritating injuries. But for City G2G it is not must but preferable.

All the above three are to be done generally for any human being who rides a bike, they not specific to a G2G.


And In case of Stunt G2G, (I belive we dint have one in Hyderabad till now), Even a IRONMAN suit will not gaurantee you that you wont have injuries. Protect yourself as much as you can thats what we can say.

Nywys, I dont think I'll be coming in for any G2G's then...coz I ride with just my helmet...and if gloves, elbow & knee pads are mandatory even for G2G's/small ride then should I assume that everyone HERE was wearing them

Firstly i have no intentions of bossing around here. I dont know why u have taken my words in such an offensive way. I did not like the sarcasm intended in your posts.

We at xBhp dont encourage & entertain unsafe biking be it a small ride to your neighborhood grocery shop or a ride to Leh-Ladakh. The safety gear part is applicable for all the rides & a must when you are doing something like 'stunting'.

The strictness shown in my post was because we are having a stunt G2G for the first time in hyderabad. Anyone can meet with an accident anyday anytime. U can never predict. Iam sure the injuries in the event of crash & the recovery time would hurt more than anything else. Over a period of time u get accustomed to the riding gear tradition & translate into a 'better & sensible' biker overall.

As said by Prabhakar while stunting u dont have a second chance. Why to take risks? Isnt that simple?

Riding gear is a must. Good to hear that you use your helmet daily. Its time to take a step ahead & invest in it.
For trackdays or stunt meets the term safety gear includes- helmet, gloves, riding jacket (if not a leather or jeans jacket with elbow pads strapped in), ankle length shoes, riding pant (or jeans & knee pads strapped in).
For ride G2G's- helmet, gloves, shoes & jacket-riding or leather or jeans.
For incity meets this term narrows down to a minimum of helmet & gloves.
But whatever may be the case bike papers & helmet are MUST.

The safety gear for the 'upcoming' stunt meet is applicable strictly for the stunters. For spectators a helmet should suffice for time being. But no stunting would be entertained from their part.

Coming to insurance part. Its upto u to get it done or not. But it not only saves the money from a cop but also saves money incase of an accident & it hardly costs 2000 INR atmost. The reason to why xBhp wouldnt stand by u is that we are huge in number & hence the possibility of getting stopped by cops is MUCH higher. So why to break the rules. Lets get legal as said by Riaz..

I am not really sure as to who makes the rules and requirements for G2G's, but whoever does, I request u to clarify the same and clear the air of confusion here...

No one makes rules. xBhp makes it, we follow it. This is the first time a Stunt G2G is being held in hyderabad. Discussions have happened with many fellow members & i was asked to take the lead. So i had taken the privilege to post it & set the rules.

I dint mean to offend or disregard anyone/anything..maybe the way I put my points nd queries dint go across right...

I never take anything personally or get offended. At xBhp we learn something new everytime we log on, everytime we meet. So chill.

hmmmm .. nice . i started couple of pages back and brought a tin of red bull and some pop corn but DRATS !


hmmmm .. dude .. 1st of all chill we all are bikers and we know how much it hurts when we fall ..
when we ask you to wear safety gear . it means we care for that person . we dont want him to cry and suffer if his skin rips apart when he smooches with the tarmac

basically .. XBHP PROMOTES SAFE BIKING ..
people should see us and start using gears
people should see us and ride with some brains
people should see us and say that '' yeah wearing gear is not showing off''
people should see us and remove a so called '' agghhh BIKERS'' tag

a small example : i study in gurunanak engg coll .. i travel 100km daily .. there is not a single day i go to my college without my DSG JACKET , HELMET , PROBIKER GLOVES
why do i do it ? show off ? dude .. no one can even see my face under my tinted visor :P
the initial days people called me show off .. now i am giving address to my friends for getting a nice lid and gloves .. its for their own safety ..
the whole college knows that i am from XBHP and they look up to me .. it feels nice to b a role model

..and now .....we arnt pulling you to be in the GTG , its completely your wish ..
its a place where we meet people with the same interest .
