Oil Spill @ Powai

Hi,
Don't know if anybody is aware of, so sharing this from Facebook, Ride Safe:

Powai gandhi nagar flyover has a lot of oil, saw 7-8 cars skidding, many bikers fallen. Moderate rain and lot of oil has made the stretch from hiranandani till the kanjur signal very treacherous. ABS and engine braking probably saved me. Please pass this on. Reported By: @Srinivas Krishnamurthy two hours ago.

Amogh Chaphalkar: The spill happened on Saturday late night. I was on my way to Pune from Mumbai airport. Was passing the flyover at 2.45 am and saw the oil tanker that had spilled the oil. Trucks with sand were already their trying to cover up but the spill was too widespread. Hadn't thought it would get this bad. The rain probably made it worse.

i commute daily from thane to mahakali caves road, andheri via jvlr - the section that u mentioned is a part of that stretch.
i didnt notice any spill @least on my side of the road [thane to andheri]
traffic on the other side of the road [andheri to kanjur / thane] was also free flowing - this was @ 0850 hrs this morning [monday] - this means that prolly the spill was taken care of by pandus & fire-brigade teams.
but i sincerely thank you for the heads-up.
will be doubly careful & alert on way back, lest the spill indeed happened & the light drizzle that followed, has raised chaos for cars & bikes all the same.

Tony's Garage is located in Malad behind the Corporation Bank branch in Orlem.It's in the same building so you wouldn't need to hunt for it.

One Day Ride to Sula Vineyards, Nashik

Date: Sunday, 2nd June'13
Meeting Time: 6:30 AM
Meeting Point: Lodha Complex, After Majiwada Flyover, Thane
Total Distance: 300 kms (From Meeting point in Thane)

Ride Plan:
We would be riding all the way to Sula Wines, Nashik which opens at 11 am so we have loads of time to reach there. We would be having breakfast probably at Kamat's on the way before we reach Sula. Break at Sula would be probably for an hour for the tour (might cost 300-500 INR) and wine tasting (if anyone wishes to taste the wine) before we start the return leg. Lunch on the way in some nice dhaba and back home.

my only apprehension is the thread going cold again, once the rains set in.
i dont know about u & others but i, for one, sh|t bricks when it comes to riding my anvenger200 in rains
infact, if it rains on sunday, i will be opting out of the sula ride as well

got completely drenched in a flash-drizzle that followed
1st thought that came to my mind was "oh fOOk... sunday ride ki waat lag gayi!"

we all love rains... but honestly i love to drive a car in rains w/ fav music playing in the background... riding in rains... oh well i've done my share of that too... but doesnt incite me all that much anymore.
and now that i've been on avenger200 for sometime, i take to rains as easy as fire takes to water!

Wrong Apprehension here

Once it rains, rest of them will take care of the thread!...There are many people here who prefer riding in Rains..(I am 1 of them)

perhaps... how about going to sula via pune?
