A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

              • Can We Do It too ??

With reference to the thread pasted below

I would sincerely like to request our dear seniors to PLEASE arrange a similar G2G here in Mumbai and all fellow Mumbai-xBhpians to attend it.

Its always fun to ride a bike as we all know but knowing how it works and how to take its care and how to repair it in case of sudden breakdown and how to master riding techniques like cornering, will surely makes us all a more confident and responsible biker.

I guess most of the bikers here may be knowing quiet a lot about their bikes but few like me are totally noob when it comes to mechanics of bikes and the jargon related to it. Speaking about myself, I am so cautious regarding my bike that I never even think to use my tools on it and do some daily maintenance checks only due to lack of bike related knowledge. I am an electronics engineer which certainely helps me to understand the electrical/electronics part related to bikes but when it comes to mechanical parts I know nothing.

Such G2Gs will help noobs like me to understand their ride better and maintain it well. The seniors can put light on many other biking related issues too as and when they are discussed.

Touring, Eating, Drinking, Gossiping, etc is ok with D2D G2Gs but we should make a point to add value to them by discussing such technical topics and sharing our experiences. We can surely learn from xBhp-Punekars who conduct / are soon going to conduct such G2Gs and benifit from them.

PS: Its not always that seniors should take initiative on such issues. We as new-bies should make a point to show our interest for such things and repeatedly request our seniors to do the needful.

Arrange a Mumbai - Pune DIY G2G. But I only hope the participation for this one is better than the last Mumbai-Pune G2G

Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

How many riders in on this kind of meet...

Thanks for showing interest ..... A thick jacket will do but along with elbow guards ..... And if its in-city limits I think some discount could be made ... Let the seniors decide .... and as usual nothing is better than being fully geared !!
