  • Aah!!! Kiran, you beat me to post
Breakfast at Vellore & Discussion at Amirthi Forest (Srini will be happy to hear that we made it there finally)
What a day; Rides through SH, NH & a Lake; what more is missing? Especially the return leg, Wow, what an awesome ride? I saw many cars & bus guys leaving way for bikers today; so its true that bikers are not the people to be messed up with.

What's most amazing thing I noticed in group ride is the tirelessness. We saw a few bikers on D135, Hunk, ZMA & were trying to keep up with us, but weren't able to keep the spirit after sometime. The power & fun of group ride - Hail Group Rides!!!

I hope we did a 300+ Kms of ride today

PS - I am happy about the performance of my RX; I wanted to do this test for quite some time & I'm happy that this ride was a good excuse. I'll see if the 15 tooth sprocket on the front will improve the top end on the TSG2G ride.

    • @ aargee and kiran: From the petrol bunk in vellore till koyambedu is 142 Kms. Whatta day guys. can feel the group riding mood set in..

As aargee said, A lot of bikes and cars gave way for a convoy of 10 bikes! Felt like a VIP when ever we were waved at the funny part was everyone was asking us to turn off the headlights!!! As though TNEB was going to charge us. the best part was they kept giving signs to all ten bikes.. LOL

I learnt many things today guys. On of the most important tings is never to trust SVC guys Just joking. Always carry spares and to watch out!!

Thanks to kirosh, aarge, sriram, dinesh, deepak, tarun, surabith (hope i got your name right bro), amit and ram.. it was pleasure riding with you guys....

Looking forward to the yercaud trip

      Cheers!
      Ragav

P.S. Mileage: 54 guys beat that!!!i have excess petrol for the week and it might run over to the trip as well :P Will have to drain some off before heading to service Triplog coming soon

It would have been better if the pics were taken from front, while riding on the water. We should had let you first on the other side...Anyhow, nice clicks...

                    • Well, well, well, what a day we all had.

Right from the start we had fun...

Organizer asked us to be at CTC by 5 AM, but I received him.

Saurabjit and Amit: It was nice meeting you. Still R15's exhaust note roaring in my ears.

Deepak : I like your sense of humour on road while we are constantly starring at the road, suddenly started lifting his legs one by one ( like doggie style??) When you did for the first time, it took sometime for me to understand your intention.

Ragav: First long touring on GS, first experience driving all the way, first experience with clutch cable. I'm sure you would have some list of things to be taken in your bag for the trip! Infact, had not thought about it during my previous trips nor had any spares or even tool kit with me. Thank God!
Now it is really scary, never mind, come what may, aargee kiran can still find a solution to mechanical bugs too

Tarun: Like your bike, you are a cool guy, flashed pictures for all the breaks and it really turned out to be good pictures. Though we never really had any photo session due to time constraints, the candid shots during our breakfast, discussion and breaks, did look very casual.

Aargee: With your bike, were able to chase all of us, imagining how would that be if you had got the rebuilt bike. Whoa! had you chased ferrari? Just kidding

I would really appreciate you and bike maintenance to return such a splendid performance. ( your Friday night cleaning job had given good result).

On the whole it was a very good ride.

The ride was informative about the tour plan, idea on itinerary, meeting points, routes shall be taken, bit detail as what to expect in Yercaud.

Education on group riding etiquette, ideas and suggestions, signals to be used and for what.

Clarification on riding pattens, suggestions during overtakes,

Ideas on situation like when we have some bike problem what should we do etc.

I was happy when my bike ripped beyond 95 and touched 100.

Another important I would like to share is every returned home safely, you know why? because we were disciplined on the road I thought.

You will all know when pics are shared n this thread

Kiran when you have a chance to arrive, do share the Chennai group divide that we discussed. By now I hope you ought to have a fair idea as to how each would drive.
