Well, its a great convenience & I've been saying this since day 1. But do you think we got option to ride on mountains? We're still going to ride in the narrow two laned with hair pins right? Do you guys have a plan for it?

Yes. Ofcourse the narrow single lane cannot be avoided completely, but then we are reducing the delays/risks by a great margin by sticking to NH7.

The ride in the hills is going to be different and managed at the spot. Ofcourse people will split into smaller groups.

The Chennai team too had its taste of the two-laned state highway (Vellore-Arani SH9) yesterday. The ruckus way in which private bus drivers were driving made the whole gang uncomfortable. I am sure everyone would agree.

The differences the Vaniyambadi-Salem strech will have (compared to SH9) are really bad roads and more bikes and other traffic.

Switching to NH7 is a good decision, IMO.

I assume we'll all stand at the foot hills & the mods would send each small batches as groups. Appreciate, if all you guys come up with a plan in coupls of days.

Krishnagiri to Salem, I always remember to halt at only one place & that's AAB at Thoppur; Fuels stomach & the ride. Has ample space to park 100 motorcycles too. We can stop over there for food or plan to carry away to halt somewhere at outskirts of Salem towards Yercaud & have a open space lunch

I've seen people standing in queue to get a table for breakfast at this place usually in the weekend; Thoppur should be 1 hour ride from Krishnagiri & IMO, it makes a perfect place to stop for fuelling & lunch. But I think it cannot accomodate 100 people for lunch, like you said, we may need to intimate well in advance. Let me know if I can be of some help here.

Sounds good, however, we have identified only AAB so far in that route. If people can remember any other good place for having good, shall discuss those options as well.

AAB is located with ample parking space. I have personally stood in the queue for take a way which does take time ( depends on peak/non-peak hour).

If all agree, we can quickly sum of our requirement and inform AAB so that Saturday while passing by shall pick those packets and have them on the high way.

^^ This is the Salem branch (near bus stand). The one at Thoppur is close to the toll plaza, I am told. And they don't have problem catering to 100 people. Anyways, it is a good 1 hour's ride before Salem. This should be a good option for the lunch break.

Well, not so close, but considerable distance from Krishnagiri. Last time we started at 4:30 AM & reached this place by 9ish & that was by car.
