  • IMPORTANT: Guys, my foot pump and other tools and spares have gone to Leh. It would be great if we have the following things on board:
    -Foot pump
    -Tyre-removing pliers
    -Spanners for removing wheel-nut (22" and 19")

If one guy can volunteer for foot pump, the other can volunteer for the pliers, one for the spanner, and so on.

People with tubed tires: carry spare tubes and puncture stickers.

    @steve and ananth: Congrats!

    • Guys, each one of you're saying different time & I absolutely have no issues with anytime being there. Since Sri said he wakes up only by 12:00 I proposed 12:15; I'm OK with morning or Noon but not in the evening to avoid peak hour traffic & besides like to spend evenings at home.

@Kirosh - Being a DIY guy, I like to procure this for myself & share it in the trip. Pls guide me on the foot pump & tire removing pliers.

For Nut castle (wheel nuts) removal, I have Yamaha's OE spanner to remove them, pls let me know if that is sufficient. I can carry 3 size adjustable wrench (attached pic). Let me know if that help or still if these needs to be procured & I'll be happy.

@Steve : May your quest to PangTso lake be a peaceful one.
If possible, please take a few pics of the lake at twilight. The water will be sparkling at that time.

Thanks, aargee! The pliers and foot pump can be procured from GP road. There are quite a few tools shops there.

Btw, the size-adjustable wrenches should do the job of removing the wheel.

              Heads up:
For those who are planning to change the helmet visor/ got a new visor for you helmets... Plan to clean the dead bugs on your visor for every one hour or whenever u get time to do it during ride... if the acid from bugs once gets dry on ur visor cannot be removed easily...

@Aargee: Just try to procure the pliers.

Kiran; pls do me a favour, if you can. Pls find out the best brand or VFM brand on the foot pump & tire levers. I don't mind spending, but the point is, I need to get a good one for my personal use in addition to the trip. I'm very particular on this because these are not just tools, but my assets.

                          EDIT
@Aargee: Just try to procure the pliers
Just seen the above; no issues, I'll buy the pliers in addition to the footpump.
@Raghav - any suggestions for me to buy a good one?
