I know how your tools collection, or rather assets look. I don't know any brand for the pliers. But you should get good ones in GP road.

Forget the foot pump for the time being; I have asked Raghav to get his foot pump. May be, a little later, you can look at procuring a branded one to add to your asset.

    • ^^^ Pliers??? I thought it was tire removing pliers. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'll get the tire removing pliers/levers rather.

Anyway, I'll try hunting for a good foot pump with help of Raghav (you'll help me right?) tomorrow or on forth coming weeks.

Do you guys know any Eastman or Drop Forged outlets at GP road? I would love to buy from them; worst case Taparia.

Oh yes. Tire removing pliers/levers, I meant.

        • I just reading the above posts from last night, woah!

I'm ok GP road meet. I would suggest to meet near MRF Sales Office just before Woods Roads (if I'm correct) on the GP Road soon after the Jayapradha Theatre. Reason? There is a room for us to wait and it would not be hindrance to traffic. This is a starting point for GP Road shops so we would not miss any as it is one way.

          Aargee, Ragav, Tarun, what say?

@ Amit - If you could make it 11-1130 to T Nagar should be fine with me. Can you? Will that clash with your office time?

            • @ Aargee: I'm using one local pump aargee, been using it for around 2-2.5 years now. I bought it from a local cycle sote for using it with my bicycle and basketball. IIRC its ~300 Rs. Im bringing mine for the trip. I've sold off my cycle and I've lost my basketball , Hence there is no use for the pump AFAIK. so if you want it you can take it aargee.. dont bother buying one now. I'll head down now and see if it still works, Im not sure if the gaskets and o-ring seals would have passed the test of time. Otherwise we'll buy one tomo..agreed???

(Worst case option is my granddad's old "Dunlop" cycle pump, which is older than India and the best part is the gaskets are still in order!)

You can get drop forged pliers easily in GP road/ Pudupet. SOme shops near Hardeep might stock them. But a better place to check would be Mannady aka Paryy's corner. Can we also hit pudupet to check out some paraphernalia if we have time tomorrow?? Its going to be secondary but if amit wants to get some wiring done prbly we can also head there for( sorry for sounding like a addicit) a quick fix

@ Deepak: I know da. He has put one hell of a stage play in office to escape

@ Ram: Sorry ram, I tore the thumbs off your gloves because they were better than my cramsters.. lol :P You sure are gonna enjoy using them da.

@ Dinesh: Looks like it's "aadi sale" for cramster and DSG. Loads of orders coming thru thanks to us ))

@ Kiran, I'm kind of slow, can you push me to fourth if ram is ok? Besides that if Deva Is driving, I'll be trying to click photos (not in a insane way) on my 500D and would need some room (Actually it would be fun to click from behind the weeper but thats not allowed :P)

              Cheers!
              Ragav

As mentioned earlier, the actual slot can be decided before the ride. This was to let you all know the Chennai team for this trip, and who is riding with whom.

Sound like a question on reliability; sorry but that is what I feel. Just imagine stranded on the road with the puncture fixed but unable to pump air & trust me you cannot even tow a vehicle with flat tire.

Let me see if I can get it from Y.A.S.S rather than GP road(GPR); if I'm unable to make it from YASS, I'll get it from GPR.
