On a serious note, I'm beginning to think if I've an old motorcycle & I should keep moving with modern times. See the amount of time it took to change the clutch cable...Just 5 minutes; Whoa!!! imagine to be RX, you need to remove the carbs & put it back...but 10-15 min & you only need RX cable for it & see while GS150 was able to run on any make of clutch wire. I think that's the reason we should keep moving with technology. In a way I think that cable break was a good learning for me.

Trust me, that was the top speed of RX, beyond that you guys would've beat me to dust. But to tell the truth, anything little beyond our speed would've carried little risk & did you know one thing for a fact? I'd hardly applied brakes & not a great concentration (as we drove that day on Tirupur trip) from Vellore to Sriperambadur except for pullovers. Guys who were coming behind me at one place would've experienced I would've done a sluggish pickup at one point & that was after a good braking from top speed to 50!!! Will explain over this point next week.

Well, Amit, I would say this way...Never push your motorcycle beyond your control, but you can still push your motorcycle to its limit, provided you know how. We'll discuss over this next week.

      • Very Good Preparatory ride

It was an Awesome G2G, and ride was fantastic. i was a bit late in arriving to the location but was able to meet the group. Once the ride started from savitha Dental college, everything was right on. what ride man, the NH first then the SH which we took to Amithi, i think it was Vellore to Arni route... i was riding in the 2 position yesterday and it was awesome to see all the riders take a curve in the SH. Group riding was at the best.

good to see that all were able to mantain the speed and a special note to the RX for keeping up to the level without much strain.

ride back home with lot of learning, like how to manage riding a bike without clutch(if clutch cable gets cut and no help nearby), group riding, maintaing the speed and distance.

looking forward for the Yercaud trip.
thanks Tarun and Ragav for the photos.

        • Thanks for sharing the pics guys, and for sharing your experience.

With the d-day arriving, we need to get everything posted on xBhp and get the participants know the details. Got a lot of work to do on this today.

The following folks have been taken off the participant's list:
-raksj9 a.k.a Rakesh (suffering from typhoid)
-calibre a.k.a Mukesh Kumar (no G2G attendance and no communication)
-krakozonia a.k.a. Pourush (no G2G attendance and no communication)

The following folks have been moved to tentative:
-leshy a.k.a Srinath (no G2G attendance)

I know I am acting like a dictator here. But I am running out of options. If you have concern, feel free to share them here.

Lolzzz.. Think the leg pulling ceremony has started before the BIG Day.

It was great fun. Group riding at its best. Hope we put up a even better performance during the D-Day ride.

I really loved the water riding part. I was skeptical about entering into water, but thanks to you guys, I made it comfortably.

The pics have come out fantastic. Loved the ones taken in the SH.

@all : My apologies, for going out of formation at certain points.

Ram - Visit cramster.in & follow the instructions here - . Call them up & confirm if they've the model & size you're looking for; add their account number for NEFT payment; make the payment & in remarks column mention your name, number, location, glove model number & size; call them up & say you've made the payment; trust me once they get the payment, you'll get a call.

If the bank credits them the payment this noon, tomorrow noon you'll get the gloves.

Any questions, just give me a call & hope you know my number.

                  • @Change in Chennai itinerary: We will be meeting Bangalore team at Krishnagiri instead of Vaniyambadi. And we will be taking the NH in both directions.

                      Why this sudden change..?

Is it because the Bangy group are in big number and making way back to yeacaud is difficult for them..?

Imagine ~20 Bikes (Chennai) + ~60 Bike (Bangalore) thundering down a road that is something like this.....

It would be crazy madness, but loads of fun. But considering the large group size its safer/faster/easier/convenient to take a 4 lane median separated highway than the single SH which is not really in top shape.

Cannot be; otherwise how're they going to make it to Yercaud, especially on the 2 laned mountain? It could be due to the bad SH. Hope everyone reads this update!!!

Well, its a great convenience & I've been saying this since day 1. But do you think we got option to ride on mountains? We're still going to ride in the narrow two laned with hair pins right? Do you guys have a plan for it?
