    Just awesome.

Small log kind of thing.. but im very new to this

@ 4.30 AM i woke up and was ready by 5.30. Messaged Tarun,Sriram,Dinesh. Sriram replied to wait and start because of bad weather. As i got ready i left home around 6AM . Was happily doing solo till medavakkam and tarun called and we meet at Shols Junctions and were discussing about his C500 and some riding gears. Dinesh called and said he is not feeling well and will drop for this G2G.

Around 7.AM we got message from other gang at Thiruvanmiyur (Raghav,Steve,Sriramefunds,Sriram) to start and meet at Coffeeday instead ECR link road junction. We went there and everyone gathered. But coffee day was closed with message "Oops Wrong timing. Come back later " we started to Hot chips in neelangarai, finished breakfast.

Around 8AM we went to neelangari beach spent sometime. By this time drizzle also stopped. we were discussing about some common topics then decided to head to original destination i.e "Tiger Caves" But On the way steve suggested some place kind of off road we rode in beach sand and went to that lonely beach shore. There was literally no one and weather was uber cool . Started discussing many touring topics about steve and ananth leh experience et all.

Sriram(yellowspunk) decided to ride his Fz in beach water and came back with some help from deepak (cbz_extreme). Now my mind decided to try GS in Waters . Went in and because of yellowspunk who was taking pictures of me asked to go when waves hitting my bike for adding more beauty to the pic. I did but my bike almost drenched with water and engine turned off and refused to start . Then after couple of tries it came live. Now coming to difficult part. Actually there was big slope between the shore and beach . Huff... It was very tough task for us to take the bike out. Deva was riding my bike with full throttle and in first gear. Me,deepak, yellowspunk, raghav were pushing the bike. All helped me to get out my bike

Lots of pictures and lots of worthy discussions. the coal engine trains went out of coal and and some trains went to get that. If im not wrong 4-5 loads of coal got over :P There were lots of funny discussions about some sooper dooper members . Finally sun showed with its nature of hitting hot. So we decided to leave and also its almost 11.30. After few kms of ride, I got separated with gang and took kelambakkam route and came home. Great G2G.

        Lol .

Guys... I missed to mention one thing...

In ECR i was behind sriramEfunds and leads of the ride were going on 80+ on C500 (steve rode) and ZMR (ananth) i thought it will be bad to overtake RX and simply followed him. But to my surprise he revved hard and was maintaining good speed. i dint doubt its speed but its brakes in wet roads but always legends are legends. Lol... it was very good music for my ears but it was full of smoke lol. Cant forget the smell of it

        • It was a cool g2g in every sense
The day started on a skeptical note since rain was trying to play spoilsport..however, once we started riding after having breakfast, rains stopped and we had a great time at the beach(s)..and the sun was also kind enough not to show up for quite some time..
@Karan, let the pics do the talking

Guess I missed out on the fun ... Just curious. Did you guys maintain the stagger formation on ECR as well? Considering its such a narrow road. Or was it a more organic formation?

                • Nice to see that Chennai xBhpians are busy on Sunday mornings! Stepping in after a month and a half!
Well, did you guys try out those 4-wheeled off-roaders? A pretty good dirt track has been set up a kilometre or 2 before Tiger Caves. I spotted it today while coming back to Pondy(I was on bus). Give it a try next time.

@Tarun.. What does your riding gear consist of now? And what top-whack of C500 did you manage to hit till now?

Use the tried and tested 'Combined Studies' excuse :P.. On a serious note, show them the triplogs of the past rides by fellow xbhp'ians. I am sure they will understand that these guys are responsible bike enthusiasts for whom, safety is a big priority and most importantly, they are NOT posers with riced bikes and a huge traffic violation record

I strongly suggest the tri-state G2G (which I missed ) triplogs by bikerfas!

@Ram - I met karan today during G2G. He is tentative for the horsley hills trip. Lets see whether i am lucky to have HH Hunk company during the trip.

I have spotted those Quad bikes on ECR itself a couple of times. It was kinda funny watching a dude ride them wearing a lungi + banyan! Any idea how much they charge? Part of TTDC? I was of the impression that they belonged to Taj resorts

No idea, dude! Actually, my eyes caught an advertisement board saying something about off-roading on Quad bikes on one of the barricades that have been installed by Traffic Police on ECR. I happened to spot the track later on. I am interested too to give it a try. Let me know if you come up with anything. Well, one of friends in Bangalore rode it a couple of months back. I will buzz him up.

                            • hey guys,

awesome trip and a long day for me. Just now came back home and boy I'm beginning to hate the rains. I fell once today but both me and my bike escaped without a scratch all thanks to the effing road scraping that's been off lately. was Riding in absolute mayhem and rain when i had to take a turn. The road was submerged and i cut across to the corner at 10Kays and suddenly, I lose traction and my bike hits the tarmac. I managed to give up my bike and stood there I'm unhurt and the bike is just fine. Followed ananth's rain water harvesting technique and my bike looks jus perfect

Guys there are a few things which can be considered common sense/ group riding rules. Just would like to highlight them for the benefit of the uninitiated:

                              • Always tank up before a ride. If you want to tank up on the return ride It's understandable, but not when we are all prepared to ride out. If it's way to early in the morning it is safe to tank up earlier. If it's not available, Intimate other riders that you need a fuel stop.
                              • Stay In touch with at least one member in the group.
                              • If you are making it to the G2G pass the word to an other member who is sure to attend. It's not really nice to just pop up somewhere and expect us to find you.
                              • Stick to the group. If you are traveling from another part of the city, find a gang who are planning to take the same route out. Don't start haphazardly, stop us and rip ahead of us.
                              • If you plan to start late, make sure you know the route/destination and constantly update one of the group riders about your whereabouts.

No point in crying over spilt milk guys. Make sure you keep these in mind. Other points are welcome.

@ all :awesome offroading G2G guys. Hats off to Ananth and Steve for giving us noob's some basic tips, loved the way things went today. Hide and (don't) seek especially.
