Yes, the track fees for a session(Half day, I don't the number of hours) is 400 INR. It is very much possible to hit the track and get your Rossi genes activated. However, it is advisable to take it slow initially till you get used to the lines, braking, acceleration etc etc and then after a couple of laps to go full-on!
You can do track days at MMRT if and only if you are wearing racing leathers(One/two piece) along with knuckle protected gloves and riding boots. However, KMS at Coimbatore is more liberable where in you can get on with neccessary guards to protect yourself.

I hope you actually washed down the bike properly with ordinary water or even sent the bike for a water wash after you reached home. Saltwater + bike = bad news for the bike!! All the same, you guys obviously had a blast!!

        • @ zaphod: AFAIK mudaliar kuppam has nothing but those extremely overrated waterscoots, not to mention, are we doing ECR AGAIN? arghh!!!

I'd love to sprint to thiruthanni if there were takers! How about Ennore? but riding there as a gang might pose a problem. Rajiv Gandhi memorial perhaps!

I usually say "anywhere but ECR!"

@ sunil: Harley style eh? maye he shud ask around Madbulls, they could help. We'll give him a tatoo as well. Our own bullet Pandy transforms to Bullet Bob

@makky: Heard you can rent leathers nearby. or we;ll distract the custodian (annoying guy on moped)when our guys. any idea if there are any hidden routes from c2 and c 11, we can stop outr guys there and come back to the stands.

          I Love c11 and c8 man

Hehehe.... Reminds me of Pammal [vomit] Sambadam...

But, yeah... ECR is kinda getting boring. How about Gingee forts (too far?)
Never been there except for passing through the place once.

            • @ zaphod: Gingee is possible as long as everyone is ok with driving during daytime. Maybe the Old and wise "Ex-bhpians" had decided and stuck to bessie after understanding that there are not many places to explore outside chennai on a fine/rainy sunday morning.

LOL at pammal Ahh sambandam which reminds me, has anyone been to Pammal?

I have no idea about leathers-rent-stuff. If there is one, let me know and I will be there when the shop opens for the day!!

Cramsters leathers costs 24k INR. AFAIK, that is the cheapest 'real' one.

@ Gingee goers: You will melt like an ice cream once the sun is up! Plan well and 'GET ON TOP' very early! lol..

                • @ ALL: has anyone heard of this place called pahzyaseevaram? I've been there once. 2/12 hours from chennai. I took the longest possible route. this was during a Fox hunt, a Radio direction finding event.it is 15 kms from kanchipuram. or why not kancipuram itself? Atleast we would get to meet ram at his hometown!

Is it quiet? I was thinking Gingee has that old world charm to it. Or has it been desecrated by 'I love abidagujalambaal's on the walls?

Given the weather these days, I just wonder, 'what the heck am I doing indoors?'... Its almost as if my little cute FZ is saying, 'Dude, you need a life man' everytime I park it before entering the 'air-conditioned' comforts of my 4 walled office space (which mind you, is also fun but only not as exciting)

I have always wanted to do this,

I agree that Mudaliarkuppam has nothing there to see - come to think of it most places will have "nothing to see" !! I'm just in for the ride dude!!

I was just thinking that the ride down the ECR might be good. But I'm game anywhere man!! As long as the roads are good and hassle-free!

+1 for the rent-a-leather shop and +100 for the "melt like ice-creams" comment. The place is a furnace once the sun is up!!
