Kemmangundi - Yes Possible, But tad difficult for the FZs and other 150's (Or RX ) - May be a early start like 4AM would land us up in K'gundi by 6:30 PM

But : Sriram / Sunny were not OK for Kemmangundi - since the place was a bit spooky (Or where I, Suren stayed in out respective trips)

I'm in for any place cool that will be do-able without riding too much to get there - it will be simply unbearably hot to ride long distances in midday heat.

I'm in for any place cool that will be do-able without riding too much to get there - it will be simply unbearably hot to ride long distances in midday heat.

Only problem is that I'm available before the 10th and after the 25th only, since am going on holiday with family.

We would have to ride for a minimum of 350+ Kms on Day 1 & 3 to reach a hill station (Yercaud being the closest)

If it is Thekkady / Kodai / Ooty / Kemmangundi, It isall going to be around 580 Kms!!

I'm OK to ride for 500 Kms, But I'm not sure who else will be game for 1000 kms in 2 days (with 1 day break in between!)

I would think, the route to KemmanG might not be as fast as TCY-CHN and that's what he is trying to say. Am I right Ananth?

Right. In may, summer will be more intense. So riding midday will be tough but not impossible.

Yercaud is fine then ?

you hardly ride on regular days and it will take several months to complete the run in.

Its not the distance alone - The roads from Bangalore - Chickmanglur - Kemangundi is full of potholes and after 6 PM there are hardly any vehicles on road (After Chickmanglur)

So, I mentioned the 150's or the RX may not like the abuse we might do in process of riding 600 Kms in a day.

No, I'm not OK for Yercaud - Most of us are been there hell a lot of times. Time to think beyond the usual

And, I had already booked the Run In contract with Sriram - So you wait for some one else to buy a new Bike
