I missed the Trip !! Um , as I'm newbie to this xBhp G2G meet , i thought someone would have confirm me regarding the trip !! I was waiting for the Nishant Reply .. As mr.I.S.Avinash said he will pm me about the dep.timings etc ... I din't receive any Mails !!

So that on that day i alone went for a ride till Melmaruvathur and returned back !! I started by 08:00 am and returned by 11:15 am ....

I hope if i i'm lucky means , i will be joining the next trip with you guys !!

Any ways I'm happy to see that you all guys had great Fun

Question . Riding Gears means the helmet , jacket , gloves and .... ?

Can any one suggest me the brand name , its price and where we can get these riding gears in chennai ? [ I need Branded items only ]

Question . Riding Gears means the helmet , jacket , gloves and .... ?

Full racing suit, knee guards, rain wear, riding boots...you name it!!!

Can any one suggest me the brand name , its price and where we can get these riding gears in chennai ? [ I need Branded items only ]

Visit the Riding Gears thread for brand names. There's quite few shops that sells good stuff.

there's also one more in Chennai, not sure of the brand. Ping Johnsingam for that. Or visit Velavan Motors at Valasaravakkam.

Sorry but I don't remember committing that I will be sending some MAILS to people for some rides . As you are new to forum and to the group, its your duty to keep checking the thread and find which place, time or day you can fit in to join the ride. On another note, please make sure you yourself get in touch with some one in the group i.e. senior or an active NewBie in case you want to attend one particular ride so that you are not missed. Don't wait for some one to call or text you about the ride - it may or may not happen.
About the Riding Gears - Yes, it mean helmet, gloves , knee protector etc... etc .... Please go through the Riding gear thread to find out more or attend a G2G where it you get more info about it. Yes, we all prefer BRANDED stuffs only so you can be rest assured about the suggestions you get.

Being my first ride with xBHPians, the Vedanthangal trip was an interesting eye opener for me. I along with half a dozen of my friends have been to Yelagiri, Tada and Pondy and back, but it was on this trip when I realized the amount of precautions and discipline one needs to have if the group has to ensure being together and safe.

The time spent was more than worth the amount of expectations and excitement that I had built up for this trip.

Thanks to Kaarthick (sorry if spelt wrong), Raj, Rakesh and a special thanks to Avinash for making me extremely comfortable. I'll get my riding gear next and will be hoping to join you guys on a bigger trip.

It's a pleasure to meet you as well bro, we had a great time but try to come and participate all g2g and interact with seniors we guys need to learn a lot from them, Even myself pretty new to them but I always feel comfortable, That's a good thing about chennai xbhp-ians

For now I have two SOL helmets (ACME and 68s-Unicorn). Resisting myself to pick one from new stock.




It was an co-incidence that none of the seniors happen to be on the ride thus giving you an opportunity to lead the group. You have earned one experience even though the group was small. Newbies will not be able to translate all the gyans we give while on riding, seniors will need to do some observation and give them feedback which is very important, else they will never know. Good job indeed.



Good that you were able to take cue from the ride. Hope that helps you going froward. Having done some trips so far, still learning from every road trip. So learning is endless..



Hope you buy all essentials when it comes to riding gears. Get few more rides with the group to your credit.

Sri.. Even myself planned to go for SOL helmets, most probably around April first week i'll be getting..

Hold your horses my friend. There are formalities to be followed by any newbie interested to participate in the road trip.

First you'll need to attend G2G meets, participate in short rides in order to be considered for road trip.

Check your closet if you have all the riding gears. If not, consider yourself unlucky even to be part of short rides.

Please let me know the details(Route, destination, members etc..) on this trip.
