March 2012 - Time for Chennai xBhp Mega Ride

When? : March 2nd / 3rd Week 2012

Where? : Tenkasi - Kuttralam - Kodayar - Pechiparai - Manjolai - Manimutharu - Kuthiravetti (Which ever possible)

1. Who are all Game?
2. Any other inputs for places to ride to (apart from list)?
3. And What could be the maximum kms to be covered in a day - Considering it could be a Bigger group.. (For instance ; Tenkasi is about 650 Kms one way - Not all would be comfortable riding that far within a day)

Again and again you do the same... Plan for a ride when I can't make it. Well this time I cant make the trip till APR end. So do not even consider me

Hello guys

First of all, my deepest condolences to the family in vain. May his soul rest in peace. And as for the family, i hope they have enough strength to overcome such horrifying times.

As at my end. Wasn't able to keep up with XBHP in the last few weeks with work and family. And with a new family member being born on Jan 19th, things were so hectic. (NO! Not my kid , but my sister's). Yesterday night, felt a lot bored, geared up and headed out for a small spin. Ended up doing chennai-pondy toll gate and back. Heavy cross winds didnt let me rip me thoroughly, but the roads were fantastic. Almost perfect. My first long ride since the purchase of my bike.

As for the coming meets, i will try and join as much as possible.

PS- My appreciation to Sunny, for the extra care and attention to fellow bikers safety !

Yeah I Read about this incident under helmet section and to be frank with you guys am also one of the culprit I never wear helmet while I go under 10km for example Often I visit Tambaram or Mahindra city. At that time I Feel lazy to wear helmet but later by seeing these kinda incident am aware now to wear helmet all the time. I Think wake up call for me. Others also please wear helmet atleast when we hit Highways.

Ananth I love to come But is it possible to postpone little bit further, Because Me and my friends planning to go for Cbe-ooty-Munnar trip during first week of march. And I don't want to miss the trip with you guys as well, so sorry for being selfish but try to postpone little further so that I can join with you guys

What to see?

Nice plan but it may not look the same like in the pics during March, post May once SW monsoon has begun the falls in Kuttralam will look like what it is in the pic.

The roads leading Manjolai/Kodayar are not always in good condition, not sure how they are now.

Do consider the timing of the trip as summers are really hot in those parts of the state, just my 2cents. Do let me know if you want more details on the road conditions, can try to get it in a few days.

Please do get more information if possible. I know it gets HOT in Summer, Hence trying to do before end of March. April - July is a No-Go to Southern Tamil Nadu!

Myself and Dinesh discussed Kuttralam trip sometime last year as most of the time we tend to visit either KL or KA. There are some places within TN worth seeing. Ananth keep flowing with the information. I'm in for this ride. I pray Lord Ram for strength and support for this trip.

Hi Ananth, Count me in for this ride. The Chennai-kanchi circuit ride was really good and the group is very comfortable and accomodative to ride along. So im eagerly for this 4 day ride to get to know you guys better.
