Just a quick update:

1) To visit Manimutharu - Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve we need permits from Forest Department

2) To visit Kodayar / Pechiparai - We need permits from TNEB

Unless we get the help from a local Tour operator, we *cannot* get both the permits easily. I'll try to get some more information on the permits issue.

If nothing works out, We will go & spent time in Kuttralam / Papanasam / surrounding areas and come back. Just giving a heads up well in advance.

For pechiparai damn you need to get permission which they usually don't give it. Only fisheries department can get access and are allowed in the dam. For reaching pechiparai dam you need to do around 15 kms or something like that on a kacha road and it is full covered by rubber trees on both the sides! i guess there is one more route to reach the place. But no idea. Photography is strictly not allowed. But i would suggest to go to that place if you have enough time. because, it take around 45mins or so to reach. You can drive not more that at a speed of 30-40kmph.

P.s. The view is worth watching. But you can not watch correctly due to trees. Timings - allowed inside till 6p.m or so! will try uploading few pics in the night. Which i managed to take without their knowledge.

Saw that last evening while coming back from Apollo Hosplital. I did see only some HD Apparells there, when are we expecting motorcycles there?

There is no toll for bikes on the NH

If you are driving, it's about 50 rs per toll booth (on avg 1 rs per km)

Need suggestion

An OT but can't find better place to get an answer. I am looking for a comprehensive toolkit for the general purpose. Found few online but was not sure if quality is good and shipment will be hasale free. Can some one please help, expecting some answers soon.

Depends on your usage and budget..

I bought two such tool kits from times group..

The driller machine and drill bits were good, but for the spanner, hammer tool kit was not worth it from them.

Best to goto a hardware store and buy as u like..
