Buddy - you and angry face just don't mix!! Your real face is like this - ! LOL!

@ The newbie that pissed him off - congratulations, you managed to annoy the sweetest guy in Chennai XBhp!

On a more serious note - NEWBIES TAKE NOTE - we take our riding seriously here, so if you'd like to join in the party, by all means please do - the more the merrier - but please learn the rules that we all follow.

    - Long distance rides need temperament and maturity. Old timers don't mind newbies provided they can ride in a disciplined and controlled manner. That's why you're asked to join in on shorter rides first. We don't want to have a stunt-happy, wheelie popping idiot along on a long trip - he's a danger to himself and the others.

    - Being on time is a good indication of discipline. If there is a meet planned, its up to you to find out when and where the meet-point is. It's also an indication of your level of interest.

    - We believe in safety first. Helmets are mandatory. Other gear like gloves, knee-guards and a jacket are a must for a long ride. If you don't have boots, wear good sturdy shoes - floaters will earn you a box on the ears!

    - Observe the forum rules and decorum. If we can take the time to express ourselves clearly and legibly, there's no rezn 4 u 2 rite lik dis. It's impolite and makes us think that you're uneducated.

Follow the above and I promise you'll have the time of your life, make strong and lasting friendships and experience things that your friends will envy you for.

    • Gearing up for next trip...

After my Vedanthangal ride, I'm looking forward to join you all for the upcoming g2g meets. I need to buy riding jacket and a pair of protective gloves. Searched for cramster and found the following shop in chennai:

      Sri Velavan Motors
      #45, Arcot Road,
      Virugambakkam, Chennai - 92
      Ph: 044-45034000/5/6

Is the above shop fine to buy such stuff? I live near sholingnalur but going into the city to buy the stuff won't be a problem. Avinash mentioned a Royal Enfield showroom which has riding gear but I forgot which showroom he talked about
Any help would be appreciated. And putting in a good word for me in such a shop will fetch you xtra 20 points

          • weekend plan

            Hi Sri,
Any plans for this weekend ? I wish if we can just meet up at some place after a short ride and have breakfast. It will be good time to know the new members and talk to them. I'm okay with evening G2G too. Suggestions are welcome . I wish to have a meet at Tiger caves and then breakfast at our usual places at mahabs.

You take up the lead and plan something for the weekend. This will be a good chance for the newbies to meet other members.

Count me out for this coming weekend. It's unusual for me not to be part of the weekend meet/ride. However, if there's any morning meet the following weekend shall show up.

Its Sunday and evening will be rush hour in Tigers cave thanks to young love birds and tourists. Evening meets are better in city as members can go home bit early as they dont have ride long. Thiruvanmiyur Beach is a good option followed by dinner at some place, or Tiger Caves in early morning meet and breakfast at mahabs. Still I would like to go with majority group .

                          • Adios Chennai!!

Well, well, well, it took me some time and a good friend of mine to find this Chennai thread, gosh!!. But, hey, as they say it's never too late.

First of all, thank you Karthi ji for your help, all gets started "accidentally" in our case isn't it. If something good happens that way, then let it be the same then.

A very big hi to every single soul in the fraternity

Glad to be a part of the Chennai community from Coimbatore, or I should say in my case alone, Ooty community.

Just going thru some threads and getting to know the members, Christ, folks here are pretty aggressive on what they do, talk et cetera, pretty upmarket stuff I guess, lol Always happy to know fraternity

My buddy Karthi suggested me to check out this thread, and must say pretty impressed with the goods inside. That aside, I was intending to make a trip with my mate, but then he suggested that you such guys in such thread are planning to do a ride to Courtrallam this March.

Planning to tag in with you guys for the trip, most probably with Karthi ji and keeping my fingers crossed for the same.

                            Cheers!!
                            VJ
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                            THE END
