Hello people. I'm planning to ride on a round trip from Chennai to Yelagiri (220 km) and back. Can I cover the distance without facing difficulties to the constraint of me to return on the same day?

It is possible - you may not be able to spend much time in Yelagiri - nothing much to see in Yelagiri from a tourist perspective.Originally posted by Sethuraam18 View PostHello people. I have done it pre-GQ days...

Re: Can I ride distance in a single day?
Start before 6 in the morning. Yelagiri has only 10-12 not so impressive bends. If destination is not a big deal, try jawadhu hill. It is more or less the same distance. Consider this routeOriginally posted by Sethuraam18 View PostHello people. I'm planning to ride on a round trip from Chennai to Yelagiri (220 km) and back. You can reach Polur via Arcot and the return leg should be Amirthi zoo --> Vellore --> Chennai.

Rode couple of times to Jawadhu Hills but not tried this return route, seems better than Alangayam route 👌Originally posted by Savitar View PostStart before 6 in the morning. Jawadhu hills does seem to be a better deal than Yelagiri. But is it possible to clock that distance so that I can reach Chennai before sunset? Considering I leave Chennai in the morning between 4:30 am and 5:00 am.

You should be able to return back to Chennai by 5 in the evening if you are maintaining 80-90 Kmph on the highways.Originally posted by Sethuraam18 View PostThanks mate.

Also try to complete the breakfast before arcot.

I think it won't be a problem too.Originally posted by Savitar View PostYou should be able to return back to Chennai by 5 in the evening if you are maintaining 80-90 Kmph on the highways.

After the second toll gate from Chennai, it's going to be six laned roads till the Vaniyambadi exit, which will allow me to cruise at ease at 110-120 kmph on my D200 [emoji5]
Will plan the tour soon enough.
