The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

    • Guys, can you help me out here?

My family will be going to Hampi in the first week of next month. Can anyone please suggest the best hotel in Hospet / Hampi?

I am not asking for value for money hotel here. Just the best available hotel.

      Thanks in advance.

so here's what we can do , put the destinations to a vote ... ,

          MANCHANABELE DAM
          1. nand15 -FZ16
          2. rdna - RTR 160

          CHUKKI TWINS

so everybody , lets vote !!! , I already did ... if any other destination is to be added - quote , add and vote ...
I'm still open to other places since I'm still not too keen on offroading.

          • No confirmation on the destination or the riders as yet. Hopefully something is decided by tomorrow afternoon.

I will anyway be riding on Sunday morning. If nothing gets updated here, I will ride to Krishnagiri or Maddur/Mandya on Sunday morning.

Those who wish to join me can call me if they have my number. (nisarg is gonna ride with me and has already confirmed).

I am not familiar with both the mentioned locations (machnabelle dam or chukki twins) so didnt comment, although I prefer the one which is of a longer riding distance. Typically I like to do at least 100-150 kms one way since i ride only once a week.

Can someone take ownership and post confirmations of the riders and the location for sunday morning?

            Thanks.

Edit - reading the previous posts, I vote for Chukki twins.

            • Lolzz!!!
Still there is a fight for the destination

If i am not wrong then the Gagan chukki and barah chukki mean Shivasamudram falls, Right?

Well then towards the end while you approach towards these falls the roads will be damn dead ones!!
At least 2-3km of total off roading!!
              Been there once

The toughest part of organizing a G2G is the destination. Not too many scenic places with good roads, rest stops, cafe's or resto's enroute at least in blore.

If this was Europe, then i'm sure the location would be decided within 2-3 posts.

There is a new biker's cafe but sadly it is not a few 100 kms away but just a jump of 4km for you!!
Saw one motocafe kind of thing in koramangla now don't know how good it is to justify its tag.
Though can't ride but can for sure check out that this weekend

hey not so now , the roads near the place have been re-done ... it's the roads just off maddur where we take the deviation that is a bit bad ...

Yup. Thanks. I have checked this site. I wanted an actual feedback about good quality hotels.

                            Thanks.
Had been to Hampi last December with some friends and though we didn't go for one of the best the guest house we stayed was quite good. I'm trying to locate their card but can't seem to find it. Will let you know if I manage to locate. There are quite a few guest houses around Hampi Bazaar but don't expect the same quality there as you would get in the good hotels here.

BTW have you checked the Lonely Planet guide to India. It has a few pages on Hampi including suggestions on places to stay.

Do not miss the food at Mango tree .. its a nice place to sit, relax and the food is good.

I'm ok with Krishnagiri too! Always wanted to go to Maddur, but heard from a colleague that his cousin met with an accident on Mysore and he's in bad shape Was a hit-and-run by a Merc who was doing ~140kmph!!! I'm a bit scared to ride on this road now, though I've traveled on this road throughout my engg

went to mysore just last week , roads are fantastic , stick to the left if your not gonna be doing high speeds (100+) and you will be fine ...
