I just looked up at the weather forecast for the weekend in Kodai- It says around 30max and 20min which is kind of hot for that place actually, so plan accordingly. But keep some warm clothes just in case and rains are expected.

Just search army stores in gmaps..Originally posted by SilentKnight View Postcan someone send me directions to the army store where you get those boots ... a google maps link would be deeply appreciated .

For jackets you can checkout The Helmet Paradise store Opp Urvashi theatre, they have DSG and few others including Alpine.Originally posted by Eternal Wanderer View PostGreat Pics @Divya Sharan

----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Also, can somebody suggest me where can I get the following:
1) Armoured Jacket
2) Riding Shoes
Sry guys, I forgot about all the places (still new to bangalore) you told me yesterday. If you can put it here, will be appreciated. TIA.
Riding shoes, cheap ones- Shivajinagar. Getting genuine army surplus is not easy though they are available in some places.

I have gloves and a water proof jacket and trousers. I am also getting some absolutely necessary spares and trying to get a tank bag. But so little time. Anyways Ill try my best.
Also, after servicing the biking today, I was told that my rear brake disc pad is gonna give up in 1000 kms. So got it replaced. But any idea why it wore out in just 4500 kms???

Do you have a pic of the worn out pads? 4.5k kms is too less. Maybe you unwittingly keep your foot on the brake lever all the time.Originally posted by Eternal Wanderer View PostBut for the ride Jackets and Glove is compulsory so try to get them asap

XBHP 10th ANNIVERSARY, BANGALORE
Hmm........ Well at first glance this one did not come out to meet my expectations. I was expecting R1s, Harleys, Ceebers and what not. After all it was the 10th anniversary celebration of xBHP, I had heard so much about. Came back tired in stupid bangalore-hosur traffic, rested, officed, rerested etc.
But then divya sharan brought those wonderful memories. So I opened my camera and guess what I found. I found the glorious XBHPs 10th anniversary right in my pocket
A wonderful 3' Clock night sky.
The Gearing up
Outer Ring Road, marathalli
The fly overs
Insomnia
The Dawn of a new life
. . . .
The highway
And we went roaring through these highways. I was right behind gene ad that modified yamaha in red and white, wondering since when did a r15 leading a ceeber 250, but o-boy did he ride, at ease among the trucks, always indicating - so neat, so safe and yet so furiously fast.
DDD.
And I followed. At one point I had to touch 130 kph at 8k rpm and then immediately brake to find the team ahead lol. Gene was wonderful with his symbols, both legs in the air at once, bringing them alive...
Gene waiting for the tail (at 60 x magnification
)
My Ride,
The modified yamaha in white and red
Other companions
Aaaahhhhhhh these bikes......
Just look at them
Panache
Didnt like the food much
Heads! On the Table. NOW!
But THE BIKE OF THE 10th ANNIVERSARY DAY, BANGALORE goes to the YAMAHA R6.
Just look at it. The yellow beast
2000 MAX RPM
The maintained condition
The Radiator
Last Sunday through a noobs eyes.
Good Night

I also heard about a ghat near blore/chennai which has 36 hairpin turns in 5kms(I cant remember the name)
All suggestions and experiences are welcome...
