I stay near Hebbal,

Ginger tea house is not there on google maps, anyway 7th main road bus stop is the nearest landmark i guess, 28kms from my place lol

You want to do ghats? They start well over 150 kms from BLR! Proper ghat roads I mean. Take BLR-MLR highway. Boredome till Belur cross.
Take rest + food at Hotel Mayura. Zoom ahead and then you can either break into Hassan or keep going straight and enter Belur.

I already done Ooty man, twice. Was looking for something else. So Bellur is where ghat road starts eh? or should go past Bellur?
