My co-brother (wife's-sister's husband) might come along, he rides a classic 350.

Not sure if I can come tomorrow, a bit tied up tomorrow, will call senhith if I can make it.
Also I will be coming from RT Nagar area, anyone around this area with whom I can tag along.
It's been some time since I have been towards Banashankari, so it would be be easy if I can tag along with someone.
snehith , if you're riding from Vijaynagar, I can meet up with you near Shivananda circle or Race Course road. Let me know if there's any other spot you would like to meet.

That is great news, I generally get to kanakpura via a different route but I don't mind deviating will give you a call on Saturday to figure out logistics

But it looks like a very aggro plan dude.
You drive on a Sat and return on Sun......
Havent ridden for such a long rides, this would be a first one.
Can you share some more details of the plan, may be a day of rest for the nooblet

Yes, its an aggressive plan. Want an extensive and exhaustive ride. I have plans for rameswaram too, but I guess it deserves a 3 day trip, hence Vagamon. Let me come back to BLR in 2 weeks. Shall put my energy in planning then.

Finally gotten around to posting the pictures of my visit to Mangalore past weekend. Just a few here. Didnt get much time to click. Was busy riding

The journey:
Started from My place around 4:30 a.m. The reason behind the early start was a combination of a long weekend of riding and also didnt want to spend the day riding in the hot sun.Carried minimal luggage in a small backpack secured onto the back seat using bungee chords.

This one at a Petrol Bunk i stopped to tank up on the B'lore- Hassan Toll Road. And no toll for bikes(How sweet is that :P), which bought me an extra litre of fuel(well almost did).

Stopped off for Coffee at Osoor Coffee. Its a nice place near Sakleshpur. Has amazing coffee and always stop here on my way to and also from Mangalore. Also this place has a wonderful soft couch outside where one can sit and sip his coffee. Was a welcome relief after 3 hours on the saddle

And then come the terrrible ghat roads. And terrible would be putting it very very lightly indeed. Most of the ghats has no road to speak of and was restricted to speeds of under 20 kms for what felt like ages of agony(In truth i think it was around 35-40 kms). Having Stiff suspension and the supersport riding position didn't help either.

Got to Mangalore covering 415 kms in around 6 hours most of which were spent descending the ghats at a snails pace. Got a nicelittle welcome from friends here with a ride the very next day. This photo is of the group that rode.

Needless to say i couldn't just stay home. Got out and about all over Mangalore. The pics below are from an evening ride to the beach.

PS: Sadly didnt have a camera on me and the photos posted above are all clicked from my Xperia Arc S. Few touched up using Instagram. Hope you like 'em

Lovely... Such logs inspire me to get the GT instead of the green 650. No no, nothing against the ninja, but its touring friendly stance and nil exhaust note turn me off. Though I'm more of a tourer, I want a slightly aggressive stance wala bike!

Eager to get the Kanji decals mounted I ensured i slept thru the flight home. first order of business home food second order of business get the lighted decals on the bike
3rd order ride it to work....

You're exactly in the spot I was before I picked up the 650. Had clocked over 40k kms on 2 different models of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird touring a lot. After that the need for speed got to me and made up my mind to get a faired bike. Then the progression to the 650 was the fact that it had a super sport riding position and feel and an ideal bike to set me up for hopefully a litre class in future. Loving every moment as of now. It doesn't matter what you ride, you can tour on almost any bike. Some are just more suited for it. It's all on you in the end.

Absolutely!!! Your bike is what you make it to be! For e.g [MENTION=54541]harish.krovvidi[/MENTION] uses his Busa as a commuter!

Been tied up for all these days with work and here am back to a sweet surprise, A Ride!!

Whoa!! After the last ride to Bellur cross was craving for another one but with so much of office work and personal was so lost!!

Since my Duke is in Auto service station, hopefully should get it back by tomorrow noon and get ready for Sundays action. Will confirm my availability for Sunday by tomorrow evening but can't make it for Saturdays Bakar session!!
