Upcoming G2G ride (as decided, this should be far): pour in your suggestions please for the ride destination. As of now, here is my suggestion:

Bangalore-Bekal Fort (Kerela and not Karnataka)-Thalassery, Kerala (drive in beach)-Bangalore. A total distance of 787 kms to and fro. Here is the routemap:

Is there a Bekal fort in Kar as well ? :thinker: The repair on Hunsur-Bittamangala Stretch is not yet completed i guess, @bikersuz/@Lonely Rider/@Ridermax can confirm on that. Once you get on to NH17, its Chaos Chaos till the point you exit out of it. Just out of curiosity , why go all the way till Hassan? Any specific reasons ? If not you can take : Bekal-Kanhangad-Punathur-Karike-Madikeri-Bangalore Stretch. The initial few Kms from Kanhangad are Awsome , later the roads are bad till Karike. Post Karike, roads are Average. You can also visit Bhagamandala if you would like to.

Personally would Have preferred to take this route for the locations : http://goo.gl/maps/nS5N4 . It would be Appx 150kms more than the Plan Quoted but easily doable if you have early starts.

P.S: I presume it would be a 2 day plan.
P.S.S: The initial route quoted will be a bit of too much riding for a Single day, nothing can be enjoyed. Also involves some rough stretches which are time consuming.

Too much for a single day riding! I thought so....
I ain't joining unless someone buys me a can or two of and a turbocharger set to keep up with the party. Not to mention that my pockets will be torn enough by the end of the month to accommodate the whole hand out for begging. I suggest to keep a long one early next month and short one towards the end of this month - just thoughts! In any case, I will go by the poll. Participation is subjective though.

i agree with @phanikar. thanks a lot sir for the valuable comments and suggestions. 1 day would be real tight and tiring one and it would be practically difficult as a group to plan this ride. Also we would not be able to enjoy the places we visit. We can plan for this trip sometime in December (keeping in mind the issue of green for the guys..including me as well). As of now, lets plan for some short one day ride.
