    Guys! Help needed.

I need to give my bike for service... It has run 13000 kms. And the FE is very bad at 27-28. So can u suggest any good servicing centers. Tried two different TVs Sc but no improvements.

How is the Castrol bike point at Rammurthy Nagar. Any opinions?

      Happy new year to all.

Finally got the Slime tube sealant delivered at office from the distributor yesterday.

Watched the YouTube video and got slime into tubes by myself this morning.

If one don't have the air inflator then also slime can be injected easily at any puncture shop nearby and payment to the puncture shop will be for air only.

After injecting slime took my bike for a 20km ride and found no difference in riding.

Company claims 4 yrs of shelf life and 2 years of working life.

One can also claim cash refund if product does not work (as per information written on the bottle)

Cost of one slime bottle 8oz- 583 Rs. Motor bikes needs 1 bottle per tire because of tube size.

I got both the tires injected with slime and hoping for a puncture free 2 yrs .

Did you try Tristar TVS at Domlur? Talk directly to the manager Mr.Murthy over there, he is usually quite helpful.

I think one has to get the puncture fixed even though the sealant seals it, not sure though.

No- no need to fix the puncture. Sealant will fix it. Only one has to remove the nail or sharp object if found on tire. Else no need to even check the tire.

                        *Eisa kya?*

I was hoping, you would do the honors!
Lets open the New year with a beautiful ride. Let's start with dates, I will be busy in the upcoming weekend; any weekend after that is fine 'hopefully' many can make it on 'the day'. I would like to request rest of the riders to put forth their thoughts as well. Let us also discuss on the destination simultaneously.

It will be difficult to stay and watch because you never know when they will start working on your bike. If you can spend the entire day then its possible. Btw they also have something called express service where they promise to deliver your bike in 1 hour (It took 2 for me ) but you have to book the slot in advance. It will be easier to stay and watch then.
If you have more queries lets continue on PM/VM. Lets not clutter this thread

                          • re: The Official Bangalore Offline Meet (G2G) Thread

                            Welcome to xBhp-Bangalore Chapter.

Yes this group ride together and ride hard and it lives and cherishes by the presence of its varied rider members from all parts of Bangalore. We have been active from past 6 months from our 1st ride on 1st Sept'2013 and have experienced and shared various moments and memories.

At earlier stages active members were quite friendly to each other and mostly everyone knew each others riding style and coordinated accordingly. Our sole aim was to enjoy the ride the route the destination and yes the bakar sessions with an utter care to safety and pleasurable ride.

Slowly slowly group has been growing and we are meeting new members almost everyday or fortnight.Time to time most of the active old members have been inculcating and appreciating different types of safety measures which mainly includes riding gears.

From past couple of times we have faced some situation where safety of rider and hence the of group went on stake which cannot be neglected at any cost.

So hereby let me mention some hard core rules to join for the ride whether it is a new member or old members going for ride.

All riders joining for any ride(long or short ones) have to follow these rules and please abide by these under-mentioned points:

1)Helmet: all riders need to have their helmets intact. Helmet should be atleast ISI marked ones. Better would be to follow the DOT/ECE certified helmets like agv/hjc/kbc/shoei/arai/sol/ls2/cross/studds. Please avoid the road side sold helmets. Most important use full face because half face helmet is of no worth and it doesn't protects any part of your face properly.

                            2) Riding Jacket: All riders need to have proper riding jacket which gives proper protection to your upper part of body covering from your neck to hip, specially your shoulders, elbows, spine and hips. You can go for riding jackets available in market namely available as DSG/Spartan/RJays/Cramster/Alpinestar/Rynox naming the few. Jackets can be of quadra material by brands mentioned above or the leather jackets(proper ones) which give your protection namely as Alpinetsar/Dainese naming the few. You can also go for riding suit.

                            3) Gloves: proper riding gloves will be appreciated which gives proper protection to your fingers, palm, knuckle heads and wrist specially. One can go for branded riding gloves of above mentioned brands and also can go for pro-biker gloves irrespective of giving protection to the mentioned parts of your hand.

4)Pants: Riders can go for riding pants which again protects your knees, hips and lower hips properly. Also riders who avoid riding pants they should wear proper denim jeans/pants which should not be corrosive and has good abrasion resistance.

                            5) Knee guards: Riders opting for normal pants/jeans they should have proper knee guards. in market there are various knee guards available for various types of purposes as per riders need and comfortability. AXO/KNOXX/SPartan are the famous ones which are available in market easily.

                            6) Shoes: shoes are mandatory for all. Feel free to have any type of shoes but please avoid half shoes. Shoes such be that rider is comfortable for all time of his ride and also gives him protection from various abrasions. Avoid rubber shoes/ rubber sole based shoes. Riding boots will be appreciated.

Above 6 things is mandatory for all riders including pillions(if any). Safety is first concern which cannot be neglected. It is mentioned from before hand to all so avoid giving reasons that I am new and I am yet to purchase things. If you posses your steed do spend some more penny for your safety also.

Below are the Rules and Guidelines for group riding on xBHP Bangalore G2G rides and I would like to request each and every rider to go through these guidelines before they join the group ride:

                            1. Formation - Riding will be in a standard staggered formation unless the leader calls for single line formation. This formation allows each rider sufficient safety space, and discourages other vehicles from cutting into the line. This formation would be followed while on roads which are wider (esp on NH) and the formation would be changed to a Single line on roads which are narrower (esp on SH).

                            2. A Ride Leader - A Ride Leader would be chosen at the pre-ride brief-in session. The Ride Leader would be chosen based on his knowledge of the route and all the directions would be coming from the Ride Leader. The Ride Leader makes all decisions regarding stopping for breaks and fuel, closing of gaps, turning off at exits, any concerns of what lies ahead. No Rider in the group should be overtaking the Ride Leader at any point of time. If there is an emergency, the rider behind should be flashing the Ride Leader to make him stop.

                            3. A Tail Gunner - A Tail Gunner would also be chosen at the pre-ride brief-in session. The Tail Gunner would be chosen based on his knowledge of the route as well.

                            4. New Riders - The position of new (inexperienced with GROUP riding) riders within the group is significant. New riders would hence be positioned as close to the front as possible so that they get used to the group. More details and last minute changes to this would be made during the pre-ride brief-in session.

                            5. Hand/Leg Signals - Each rider should duplicate all hand/leg signals given by the rider in front of him, so that the signals get passed all the way to the back of the formation. Some of the frequently used hand signals are as follows:

                            (i) Road Hazard: Anyone seeing a hazardous condition on the road surface (speed bumpers, oil, gravel, significant pot hole, etc.) will point at it by extending their hands or legs towards the hazard. All following riders will repeat this, and all riders will avoid the hazard.(ii) Signal From Rear: It is very much important for the riders to keep their eyes on their Rear View Mirrors from time to time. Any emergency/fuel up/situation that needs to be reported to the Rider in front by Flashing the headlight multiple times. This should be carried all the way to the front of the grid and all the riders would stop.

These are some of the most important rules/guidelines which are being used in the G2G rides. Have a safe ride folks.

Please Note : The steps mentioned above are to be used as Guidelines for riding with the group. While the Leader and the Tail Gunner take every precaution to ensure that all riders stay with the group and ride safely, it is every Individual riders responsibility to stay with the Group and ensure that he or she reaches the destination safely with the Group. We expect riders to be responsible and ride safely keeping in mind the Traffic laws and safety of other individuals on the road.

Also these guidelines will be continuously updated as needed to ensure better and safe riding experience for all our group members.

                            *****************Safety and riding rules***************************
