Also, i don't own a riding jacket yet, but i usually wear my leather jacket with elbow guards while touring. Would that be accepted?

Hi Sal,
as mentioned still the ride date is yet to be finalised. Will be announced by EOD.
And yes you can join the ride if you are following the mentioned protective things you follow.
Hope you other necessary things too

Hehehehe.... good one,, actually this ageing has taken a toll on my body rendering me with weakness which is why I kept distance from 'long distance'.

I saw the post in the official FB page on ride destination but the dates are conflicting. Let's see what others have to say. Though it will be extremely difficult to satisfy everyone's lust for riding, majority must be taken into consideration.

Dear Friends

As we all know there are lot of bikers who like to tour/ride as a couple (husband/wifes .. or .. GF/BF), however currently most of us tour as a single couple or if we get another non-xbhpian and in fact non -biker couple (rarely). we are trying to build a common platform where we know all those interested in couple riders in a single thread and then we can plan and go on rides together.

However I will not be able to do leg signals.


If the plans fall for the next weekend... then I daresay I will be able to make it, good dates for me... dates beyond that, dunno lets see.

Cant wait to group up again with you guys...

Happy new year to all.

Finally got the Slime tube sealant delivered at office from the distributor yesterday.

Watched the YouTube video and got slime into tubes by myself this morning.

If one don't have the air inflator then also slime can be injected easily at any puncture shop nearby and payment to the puncture shop will be for air only.

After injecting slime took my bike for a 20km ride and found no difference in riding.

Company claims 4 yrs of shelf life and 2 years of working life.

One can also claim cash refund if product does not work (as per information written on the bottle)

Cost of one slime bottle 8oz- 583 Rs. Motor bikes needs 1 bottle per tire because of tube size.

I got both the tires injected with slime and hoping for a puncture free 2 yrs .

wishes for new year from my side as well had been a great 2013 for the Bangalore chapter and i do wish that this team reaches heights in 2014 and sets an example to others with respect to safe coordinated riding.

as far as the upcoming ride is concerned i would not be able to make into any ride prior to 14th of this month

Here's a suggestion... of course feasibility/distance needs to be bounced around and discussed among the flag bearers... but a nice route none the less and an option sometime.

I like this route because its circular rather than two and fro on the same route. Also the ride through MM Hills to Kollegal and Maddur is beautiful and curvy. Lastly Starting from Hosur rd and ending with Mysore rd gives the ride leader enough options in places to stop for refreshments/meals etc. Although the center section of the route between Mettur Dam and Maddur is sparsely populated hence does not have CCDs or modern wayside restaurants but thats also the fun of it.
