Re: The Official Bangalore Offline Meet (G2G) Thread
Hello everyone. Reposting from here - Chennai to Bangalore and Back - Regular weekend circuit - Who else does this?
I work in Chennai and visit my parents who are Bangalore based a few times every month. I own a Duke 390 and have been riding this route since I got it - have done this 4 times so far and wish to know if there are others who ride this route often.
My schedule is usually as follows -
1. Chennai to Bangalore: Start either on Friday or Saturday morning, around 6-7am from OMR
2. Bangalore to Chennai: Start either on Sunday or Monday morning, around 6-7/7-8am from Hosur Road
I usually do this in 4-4.5 hours depending on traffic - take an average of 250 minutes door to door. I only stop to refuel once if I start with a full tank. No other breaks.
I am really not interested in going fast or breaking records. It would be nice to ride this route with other people.
I have seen a group of Harley riders while going to Bangalore on a Friday morning once. I have also seen one chap with an RTR180 do this and one R15V2 rider who likes to ride solo

I do visit CHN from BLR a few times in a year, but since your trips are more frequent, I'd suggest you get in touch with yellowspunk.Originally posted by pkd View PostI work in Chennai and visit my parents who are Bangalore based a few times every month. Any SVC can bluff you, better you shot a mail to regional HEAD, attach bills and mention everything point wise.Originally posted by Prajwal Shyale View Post
Could you all please recommend or suggest a trust worthy service center for Honda vehicles in Bangalore?
Also remember, whenever you go for servicing, ask for the jo sheet including price. That is the correct way. They mention the price before and you have to pay max to that only excluding bit of plus minus. And if they found something faulty they should call you and ask if you need to get it changed/replaced.
Whichever SVC follow this, they are proper ones.
Please drop a mail, a complaint mail to regional head of Honda.

You guys were planning for Gandikota/some place that would have been a full day ride. I had to be back before 11 AM, hence the short ride!Originally posted by saquib3005 View PostAgain a good one.

Re: The Official Bangalore Offline Meet (G2G) Thread
Had a very nice experience on my way back from Kalpetta last week.
It was already evening by the time I crossed Bandipur area and by the time I crossed Mysore it was dark. The traffic has increased which most of you would be familiar with on Bangalore-Mysore road during Sunday night.
Tourist tempo travelers and cabs were driving very rough with no respect for safety or traffic rules, and I was having a difficult time amidst that chaos. I noticed a car behind me asking for pass, there was no space, so signaled for it to wait. I gave him room to overtake as soon as I got room, to my surprise, he lowered down his beam before before he went past me.
Thereafter he signaled using hazard lights for a speed breaker, and he followed that for another one too.
I was very impressed with his driving skills and I started following him because he was driving at a good 90-ish speed and still wasn't driving rash. After a while, he noticed that I am following him and to my surprise, he actually he helped me by providing enough room for me to overtake those TT's and cabs, this continued for a good 100kms non-stop. Just before Bangalore, he slowed down his car at a speed-breaker and I brought my bike near him and signaled him a thumbs-up. He rolled down his window, I said-"thanks, nice driving style", he reciprocated and complimented me for my riding skills as I tailed him for a almost 100km. He waived goodbye and took a turn before the wonderla dhabas. This reminded me of how much difference can one good driver make to the whole experience of riding. He could have easily zoomed past me on his punto, but instead he respected the fact that someone was tailing him. Following that red punto with team-BHP logo was indeed the quickest and most memorable of all the trips I have done in Bangalore-Mysore road during night time.

@shashank ashwin, you did get to follow a very humble BHPian called as Samurai (to some). He was returning from MYS 4-5 days back IIRC.
Indeed a few good road users makes lives so much better.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
