The list is a good one and covers most of the items. However i would like to point out a few corrections:Originally posted by snehithpereira View Post
1. In the first point you have mentioned armoured/denim jacket in Riding gears. Please note that we are not supporting any other jacket rather than armoured jacket. So please strike the denim jacket off.
2. Each one carrying Collin/Mr. Muscle would increase the load and I believe it is not required as many as 12 bottles (which would be unnecessary burden). Instead of that, I believe maybe 1/2 bottles would be enough.
3. People carrying Digicams/DSLRs should make sure they do their own respective arrangements and do not stuff their cameras into anyone else's luggage.
4. Not sure Rain gear would be required because nonetheless it will be very humid and hot anywhere in MH.I Ride to Forget the World, and Sometimes I Ride to Forget Who I AM.

Riders may as well carry a cap and shades. Trust me, they make a world of difference. And yes, rain gear can be excused.

2. I still think everyone should carry their own Collin bottle, it ij small and compact
3. Will add the camera wala point too.
4. I suggested rain gear as weather gods decide to be funny at times and have a unique way of throwing the unexpected at you
5. will add the "Kooling Gilass" too

Another important point. Please wear boxers and not frenchie types inner wear. Carry Vaseline. Both help minimize if not avoid rashes from sweat.Originally posted by snehithpereira View PostWill edit the first point

Now that you are discussion this, want to add two centsOriginally posted by Divya Sharan View PostAnother important point. Please wear boxers and not frenchie types inner wear. Carry Vaseline. Both help minimize if not avoid rashes from sweat.
The Quick dry inner wear(Easily available in Decathlon) works like a charm on even super hot summer rides
Even if you wash it and let it dry hardly takes 30 -45minutes and about 2-2.5 hours at night to completely dry. Have done few rides on days on the wrong side of 40s and still feels comfortable.
P.S: Me not doing marketing for Decathlon, just saying for the benefit of everybody

Wonder if pratik.pat can work out a bulk order for the group, if others are interested

Re: The Official Bangalore Offline Meet (G2G) Thread
Thanks to all the beautiful people who made the G2G meet today a fruitful and an amazing one. A much needed discussion happened over the upcoming ISG2G and I am putting up some of the following points which have been brought up today. Kindly note that these points are still open for suggestions, the more we meet, the more firm the preparations would be.
1. The entire Bangalore group would be broken down to two groups. One would be a slow group (consisting of the riders who would prefer to maintain a speed of 80-85 kmph) and the other would be a fast group (consisting of the riders who would prefer to maintain a speed of 100 kmph) along the entire ride.
2. The slow group would be leaving from the Neelamangala First Toll Booth at 11:00 PM on 17th April, followed by the fast group who would be leaving from the Neelamangala First Toll Booth at 11:45 PM on 17th April. Kindly note here, that the timings are still under discussion and would be finalized during the pre-rides. As of now, the timings are based on the discussion we had today.
3. As per the estimate, we are assuming the slow group to have most number of riders and hence the lead and the tail needs to be picked up wisely. The fast group should always keep an eye on the road incase the slow group is stranded/stuck due to any issue.
4. As being brought up by the riders today in the G2G, some have a range of 220-240 kms on their steeds so we have come up with the following idea for butt breaks cum fuel stops.
1st Stop : Chitradurga (a distance of 190 KMs). There should be a butt break of 15 minutes and during the same time, we are planning to make it mandatory for all to fuel up (even if for the riders who has a higher range). This would make us avoid unnecessary fuel ups in the middle of the ride.
2nd Stop: Dharwad (a distance of 230 KMs). This would be the longest leg of the ride and we can have another butt break/fuel up for all the steeds (mandatory). We can take a break of 30 minutes here. We can have breakfirst here as per our estimate that we would reach the outskirts of Dharwad by early morning.
3rd Stop: Kolhapur (a distance of 180 KMs). There should be a butt break of 30 minutes here and a mandatory fuel up for all the steeds.
4th Stop: Karad (a distance of 75 KMs). We would regroup at this place (both the slow and fast groups) and ride from here as one single group. From here on till Chiplun we would be riding through SH and we need to keep our eyes on the road. Hence we suggest to take ample amount of rest before we start our final leg towards Velneshwar.
These are the stops we have come up with and these are open for suggestions. We would be discussing on these further on the pre-rides. We would be finalizing the groups, the leads and the tails for both the fast and slow groups, the group riding etiquettes during the pre-rides so that we can help each other when we are riding in a group. It should be taken into mind that it is not about speed or any other thing in this ride, rather it is about we, riding as a group.
See you all at the ISG2G pre-ride 1.

Sunil, Lohith bhai, Udy you all were awesome as usual.
Sanjoy bhai nice to meet you and some valuable points suggested by you.
It was nice to have company of Prakash bhai, Pratik, Nitin bhai, Snehith bhai, Ram bhai, Harish Bhai, Krishna bhai, Ashish and Suhasa.
Regarding ISG2G, good points Suvra bhai.
For everyone else and bit editing to suvra da's comment
1) yes most probably 2 groups will be there, will decide at and after pre ride.
2)regarding the timings I will still say let's keep it within ourself and discuss among ourself because you know any Tom Dick Harry with any super imposing experience will start pointing out flaws on this plan up, so first finalise between ourself and then let's put up here. Even sanjoy Bhai would help us in this.
3) I am ok with it will elaborate more if required
4) the stoppages will be like this only, we will include breakfast and lunch breaks in it, more or less this will be the breaks, yet prone to change a bit depending on mileage capacity of each steed.
Last stretch of ride plan up after karad is good.
Overall nice plan up and thanks to penning down.
Appreciate to all Bangalore members who are giving their inputs consistently and planning accordingly, simultaneously with all other planning a going on.
Thumps up.
@all Bangalore chapter guys jeep an eye on this thread for all pre ride and ISG2G updates.
