Turning off the ignition in the downward slope doesnt turn off your braking system, like the four wheeler, does it

And morever you could compensate for the fuel burn of the upward hill.

Let me know if its dangerous in any other aspect?

Others have already given enough explanations, I would suggest you to look at "Twist of the Wrist 2" DVD, at least the first half. You will be a much safer and better rider as a result

One point that i would like to add is that coasting downhill is riding very slow, as you have to gain momentum with the help of gravity.

If you want to ride fast and safe, then you need the throttle to power out of a turn. Without that you cannot corner properly, and will end up going wide on most turns. It is nigh impossible to take a turn properly without being on the gas.

My above style of riding or misconception was mainly because I never faced any issue with neutral in the descent and was always in control, be it Yercaud,Yelagiri or that matter Mussorie


But, there are always the words 'but' and 'if'. We ought to be safe when on road.

Believe in practical more than the theories, So will be taking a descent soon and see the difference.

It has improved a lot... touching 70k in general traffic... slight vib is being experienced when i try to touch 80k.... limiting myself to 55k+ only....

nothing like that ki i am dying to go here, it's just that I never been there so wanted to go there if everybody is fine with the location (hence I have kept it open for suggestions). If there are any better options and everybody likes it, then I do not have any problem. Saturday can also be an option, I am fine with it.
