If you guys are heading to Gopal swamy betta, then I would suggest you guys to leave by 3 and be there by 7-7:30. do take a small trek around the temple, Possibility of sighting elephants are high.

I had been there about 10 days back. The road till Gundlupet is in decent condition and you can maintain good speeds.

Once you pass gundlupet, you will face a horrible stretch of road, but fret not. Its not too long. You will find a small village on the way, hanagal. Look for an arch towards your right. GSB is about 12 kms from there.

Quite a bit of the forest was burnt down in the forest fire, but the recent small rains might have got some hint of greenery back.

after gundlepet few km road is too bad. As soon as u guys will take right diverstion from village then the road won't be much good but fun to ride ...
