    • Id say DD hills for the corners-carving possibilities. However, the reason why it unpopular with guys here is that the place aint good for anything else

Hence im guessing DD is out before its even considered !

@RED: HIDs? You will need a D2R setup. It's kind of difficult to find that in Bangalore cause most are designed to go with projectors (D2S). Mind you, you can still fit the D2S in the reflectors, but you can get screamed at alot.

PS:- If you have someone coming over from abroad, you can easily get good HID kits you want at good prices.

BTW are you looking for both high and low beam?

how bad of a screaming are we talking about ?? . I just saw a karizma earlier today with a HID setup, it was pretty bright but it didnt seem blinding to me. i guess just the low beam..arent there setups with a HID for the low and a regular halogen for the high?

Well, the question is the purpose of the HIDs. What is yours?

If it is looks/cool factor then you will have to sacrifice intensity of the light (luminosity).

              And vice versa.

Mind you, the HID on the reflector setup as I told earlier, blinds people, even if it is low beam, due to irregular patterns. And therefore the screaming. Also, cops in Bangalore have started a crackdown on HIDs. Just be wary of that as well.

EDIT: To add to sumit's post, HID is a bulb. Setup depends on you. I have put a HID setup in both low and high beam. It depends what you want.

Dont' want to hijack this thread into a HID specific discussion. But just to answer your query, there are HID setups available where in the other way round is present i.e. Low beam a normal one and High beam the HID. Prabhu's Comet has it.

actually im not sure what i want, i would prefer the HID on the low beam and the regular halogen being on the high so i could use it as a flasher if need be. Im not going for the looks or cool factor..just want better, brighter lighting.

Then, you are looking for a 35W preferably 4300K or 6000K Xenon Bulb HID kit. There are lots available. You will have to go to JC Road.

You want a HID kit with both Hi/Lo beam as HID or Lo beam ordinary & Hi beam as HID ? There is this place on R V Road, near my place who has this kit. I tested the kit on my FZ it's okay. Both are 6000K rating. But I would suggest you to stick to 100/90 lighting, that's better. The kit that I tested came with a new type ballast & a relay too, so that it doesn't drain your battery. I got the kit fitted & got the battery checked, it was charging perfectly. If you want any more details you can contact me on 98451 23554.
