They need it to calculate actual depreciation of your bike. They do have records in their database, but having an actual hard copy saves you on spending extra on the difference in ex showroom prices across cities. Yes, ex showroom prices also differ across cities, let alone states!Originally posted by rreneav1987 View Post

Re: The Official Bangalore Offline Meet (G2G) Thread
I had bought it from a finance company and doubt if I can get appropriate invoice for it. Will see if I can get in touch with them.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostHi Harish!
Welcome to BLR!
You should get the transfer done in case you're planning to stay >6 months here because running from cops every day isn't practical.
You need:
1. NOC + police challan stating the vehicle isn't stolen and is rightfully yours. Takes 1 day at max and 100 bucks. Fill in form 28 (IIRC) at the RTO first, then visit a nearby Police Station and get the letter stating that the vehicle isn't stolen. Standard fee with receipt for the same - 50 at the RTO and PS each!
2. Submit your RC + NOC + police challan + a copy of the bike's invoice at BLR RTO for processing.
Since yours is a 10 year old bike, your road tax should be lighter.
P.S - I hope you have your bike's invoice, as this is where the major chunk of under table money goes in! What was the ZMA's price then? 70k?
Your road tax will be in the range of 16% of 35% of 70k (assuming you bought your bike for 70k). Roughly 4000 rupees.
This is an old formula. Check Transport Department for more details.
As for paying the tax. Suppose I pay the required tax in Bangalore with the NOC and stuff, will I also have to get a the vehicle registered in Bangalore or can I use the same AP number there. If yes, then after this is done I can freely travel between Hyderabad and Bangalore without any issues in the future right?

They'll press you for re-registration, but that is not mandatory. You can keep using your original reg plates post paying road tax.Originally posted by harishsangwan View PostI had bought it from a finance company and doubt if I can get appropriate invoice for it. Re: The Official Bangalore Offline Meet (G2G) Thread
If you don't have the invoice, you can get a copy from the RTO where you had it registered. It may take time or a number of gandhi's depending on the person and place.
Also with the amendment passed in Feb 2014, the max time a non-KA vehicle is allowed to be in KA is only 1 month. The RTOs are checking and seizing all defaulters and making them pay the LTT and the penalty. Bills and Toll receipts don't help much, as per reports of people who's vehicles were seized. The majority of the vehicles being seized are cars though. There are reports of two wheelers being seized too, but very few. I had a lucky escape in front of those white Boleros once

xBhp Bangalore chapter follow this trend but we all meet weekly on weekend specially on Saturday evening from 6:30pm onwards.Originally posted by chaosaddict View PostFantastic indeed. Most of the times it has happened at our adda point named as GTA, which is in BTM 2nd stage.
Now many would debate that why only this place and far and bla bla ga ga.
Well there is no any good alternative in comparision to our GTA. So I would just suggest not to debate on this.
We stick to this place and yes we discuss on all topics whether intellectual or even BS.
Also in Bangalore majorly all are working professional and since all cannot sync there timings we hold this meetings only on Saturdays.
Though our interaction doesn't include intellectual talks like comparision to Pune chapter to call someone and give demonstration, but we all gather to discuss about all ride plans and even to share info about bikes, riding gears and also to exchange couple of cup of tea to welcome new people in the gang.
Last evening due to consistent rains it was called off.
Take a note: GTA is every Saturday from 6:30pm Onwards

Take the inside road that comes into btm area from udupi garden signal, keep coming till you get a right- take the road and keep coming till you get a junction with lamp/post.
