Oh Boy, I thought it would be posted here before the session. Missed it again :banghead:

I had been for my first Nandi hill spin on my new ride. That was fun too...

How do you guys sync up with each other before this meet? You people have some kind of WhatsApp group or something?

After giving the bike for servicing... service guys have given me an approx. cost of Rs. 7,000/-

Have to wait and see for the actual cost....

What is the usual speed you guys ride in group rides like the planned one? For example in a road like the one to Shivanasamudra.

Asking this because I am a pretty slow rider. Speed does not allow me to enjoy the ride.

Don't you worry mate, speed is the last thing on the list when it comes to group riding. The priority might change based on varying circumstances - similar bikes, total distance to be covered etc. What matters the most is the importance of togetherness and the courtesy of looking out for each other, while ensuring the safety of other road users.

We are pretty slow as a group, especially becoz' of me. Shivanasamudra via kanakpura (nh 209) was comfortably and satisfactorily accomplished with an average of 80-90 on the speedo; not to mention the superfast bikes we had in our group (Dr. BUSA can make an entry here).

Day rides are fun and disciplined, although we stop and take breaks at times. Longer rides, on the other hand, is advisable with close riders/friends. Reason being - everyone has a different body cycle which comprises of rests, breaks, endurance etc. Some might like taking frequent breaks for good captures while others may not like the idea. Some like endurance riding on the saddle for long hours while many might require pee breaks frequently. Furthermore, it is highly likely that there is an emotional psychology playing at the back which can potentially increase the tension in a group - reason why many turn solo later.

Nevertheless, long rides with humongous groups are not a rare occurrence historically. The xBhp Bangalore chapter has pulled off mighty distances in the ISG2Gs with number of riders ranging from 10-60. Kudos to all the leading folks!

First of all I am humbled that you took out so much time to explain it. Thank you.

I have been waiting to join the bangalore xbhp gang for rides since long time. Was worried only because I had a 100cc bike which I can push to 70s max. It took almost 6months for RE TB350 to be delivered. And now, I am doing the Run-in. 1st service done. Till 2nd I have to be atleast under 70 I believe. Anyways, I am willing to join the ride this weekend though.

I was worried I might bother other riders with me riding like a tortoise. Slow and steady.

looks like many are itchin' for a ride but no one is willing to put forth a plan. Arnab, kindly post a plan and willing folks can join in (in case you need help let us know). It can be a short breakfast ride to Kolar or Bellur or anything that you want. Trust me, the ride will be relieving at the least.
